Game gets stuck after a few minutes of play

In on Windows 10. I will play for a little while (I'm currently at 53 minutes game time and this happened three times already) and then any click or keyboard input stops working, usually during a spoken line. If I am in windowed mode and I click on the taskbar icon the next voice line will play, but it will still be impossible to advance with keyboard or mouse input.
Has anyone else had this problem or knows hot to fix it?
