Unable to start
So I got Tumbleseed, and it starts up on a black screen, what looks like a little twig grows with a single leaf sprouts out of the middle of the screen, it pauses on that screen for a few seconds, and then the game closes itself out. Uninstalling and re-installing does not fix this issue. Anyone else having this issue or is there a fix for this?

Sorry to hear this! What operating system and operating system version are you running?

I also have the same problem. I am currently running this game on Mac version 10.11.6. It will work fine one time, then after closing it and starting it up again, it gets to the loading screen and crashes. Steam also crashes during this time as well, and I have to restart Steam every other time I want to play the game

I'm on Windows 10 enterprise, version 1607, 64-bit.

Yeah, it sounds like this is an issue with Steam validating the game. Is Steam running when the game exits out like this, Saint Nick?

I had the same error and fixed it by going into properties and verifying the integrity of the game files, then restarting steam. Hope this works for you guys too!

Steam is running. And I'll go ahead and try that, mistfist. I'll update when I get to try it.

EDIT: After verifying the files, it still didn't work, though going into Offline mode let it go through fine. Returned to Online mode, and it's working now. Thanks a lot, guys!

Sorry about that -- sounds like some weird Steam issue. Have fun!

I had the same problem, verifying didnt work, but the "go offline, launch game, go online" worked for me. Thanks for the help/troubleshooting, fam.

I think it helps to go offline and back online after verifying. Glad it worked!

I'm having the same problem. Verifying the cache and going offline/online has not helped, and iut was working fine not too long ago. I alt tabbed, it wouldn't tab back in so I quit it, and now every time I try to restart it it's just a black screen.

EDIT: Okay now it's not just a black screen, but I think the resolution got messed up. Is there any way to change the resolution without looking at the game?

I'm running the game on Windows 7. It was working completely up until this point and now I cannot play it

Let's try clearing out your registry of its TumbleSeed data.

Use the start button to search for a program called "regedit.exe". You're going to see some weirdly named top level folders—you want to go to
HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/StaticOceans/TumbleSeed and just delete the TumbleSeed folder.

Hopefully that helps!

I'm on Win10 and can't get the game to load at all. Tried file integrity check, tried reinstalling, and tried this registry deletion. This is my first time trying to play it.

Sorry to hear that! Are you getting any error messages? Is there a window popping up at all and then disappearing?
