Dead Rising 2: Off the Record

Dead Rising 2: Off the Record

[Guide] - Xbox One Controller fix for DR2:OTR
Fixed the issue for me

1.Download a program called x360ce:
http://code.google.com/p/x360ce/down...6.zip&can=2&q=

2.Extract the files

3. Copy the files in the folder of the extracted zip file and paste it inside the Dead Rising 2 off the record installation folder, right where the exe is.

3."Run the program and say 'yes' to creating the two files

4. When you get to the gui select your 360 controller

5. Go to options and change Input Hook to Compatibility

Hope this helps.

I know i'm bumping a dead post but the github page shows 2 exes, for 32 and 64 bit version, which one do I need? I'm presuming the 32 bit version?

Choose the one that fits your operating system. If it's a 32 bit, use the 32 bit. Otherwise, you use the 64 bit.

not sure which version you use but there is no "input hook compatibility" under options.
A Screenshot would be sweet

the guide is for an older version of x360ce which had it. New version doesn't have it and you're supposed to put it in the x360ce.ini (?) or at least that's what I read on another thread

It still wont work... i tried it with 64 bit version and it said my game was 32 bit, so i dled 32 and it still wont work.... i have tried every thing i can think of @kittax said something about an .ini edit but didnt give anywhere near enough information

I know I am bumping for a second time an older topic, but if you still want the link, I'll just put what it says here. Go to the x360ce.ini that gets created and find the input hook bit and put this in.

[InputHook]
HookLL=0
HookCOM=1
HookSA=0
HookWT=0
HOOKDI=1
HOOKPIDVID=1
HookName=0
HookMode=0

It's still a mess though, the camera didn't work so I have to tweak further.

The newest version of x360ce worked with this tweak.

For the camera to work, make sure all the buttons of the controller are properly mapped out (my controller worked right away, my friend's controller had incorrect triggers and camera settings)
