Dead Rising 2: Off the Record

Dead Rising 2: Off the Record

The Bugs and Glitches thread.
Since there's no subforum to report the bugs and glitches we found, we might as well have a thread that lists all the known problems with DR2:OTR, making it easier for the devs to find common problems. I'll try to update it the more people comment on it.

1-Input stutter when running.
This problem seems to affect several people, and it might have been even before the Steamworks conversion. After walking for 5 seconds, the character will stop moving.

This issue has been fixed.

2-CTD when booting up game.
Some people say that it's required to change the audio settings to DVD quality.

3-XBox One controller compability issues.
The game doesn't seem to recognize the controller. This is probably due to the fact that the Xbox One came out later than the game, which explains the lack of compability.

4-Matchmaking Issues
People have difficulties trying to play Co-Op. People can't connect, resulting in an endless "Trying to Connect" screen.

5-CTDs when pressing Start/After intro.

6-Sound goes mute when too many zombies are hit in the area.

7-Game freezes when a player enters the graphics options menu.

8-Game can't be selected as "Favourite Game", the achievement page doesn't work sometimes and screenshots uploaded will not be shown in the activity feed.

9-Save Game problems: users with special letters, like é,è,õ,ã,ö,ä,ü and so on have problems with save games. Making a new user without those letters fixes it.

Also, please try to make this civil.

been there, done that, still crashing

Can someone who is crashing give some input on it? Like, do you still have the GFWL-Client installed? I do and I'm not crashing, regardless of what I set my audio-settings to. I want to see if DR2OTR-Steamworks still thinks (.exe-wise) that it needs GFWL.

I don't crash either, but I have the input stutter and co-op issues. I browsed trough the game folder, and I notice that xLive.dll is still there, so it still thinks it needs GFWL.

Fix that matchmaking crap or I will not be civil.
This will be the second time I have purchased this game trying to play Co-op and FAILING miserably.

Friend tried the GFWL-thing I mentioned, didn't fix it. He did try to check his Nvidia Control Panel settings though and adjusted them to mostly be "app-controlled", didn't crash past start, YET.

Update 1: Crashed at the end of the intro.

This wasn't a problem before the conversion I can assure that, but would be glad to hear any form of reply from CAPCOM for a fix.

Input problem with keyboard was fixed. The constant crashing? Apparently not. Nice priorities, Capcom.

I have one problem that the sound goes mute for a fews seconds, if I hit too many zombies.
This never happened before the migration.

True. RIght now I just want Co-Op to work. That's why I bought the game to begin with.
