What is the point of saving survivors?

Do you get a reward for saving all of them? Most of them are downright obnoxious - the High Rollers trio in particular - and I want to know if they are worth my time.

Well,you get lots of PP,sometimes Cash and in case of the Band & the Tape it or Die crew you get Combocards.Afaik,there is no archivement for saving all/most of them in OTR but there is one for getting 8 Survivors in the clowncar at once

However,after your third or fourth playtrough,there is not much need to rescue them (aside from the girl that opens up the shortcut to the palisade mall).
