CO-OP Random Disconnecting
Me and my friend can join eachother in sandbox and story mode. We can get around about 10 minutes of gameplay in before he is randomly disconnected from me. This happens literally every time. Does anyone else have this issue or similar?

3 days later I still haven't pinpointed the cause or a fix

From what I've been able to find out mess around with your IPv4 settings. Don't try and mess too much up just try some things, sometimes one certain setup will work sometimes another.

This is still an issue with no known fixes.

We could get it to work for longer periods by changing out NAT types. The issue was fixed permanently for us by my friend actually changing network provider. Since he switched we haven't had an issue.

Oh damn. I'm on the talks with Capcom support right now. Network provider swapping isn't possible, for me. The support guy recommended me to open some ports.

We opened every port we could think of and still continued to get the issue. I would even suggest swapping routers and see what happens

whew, haha--another non option for me. The plight of a poor gamer. Thanks a lot for your suggestions, though

Hello, I remember talking to a Capcom rep a few weeks/months ago--the only advice they had was to port forward. I'm not sure what else can be done.

If your internet is somewhat slow, you won't get lagspike in that game, it'll be a plain disconnect. Whenever that happens, try and check your connection through speedtest and what's your ping like on online softwares you use a lot (I do that check on a Discord call I usually hang about). If you're under 85kb/s or your ping seems higher than usual, don't even bother with online, and wait for your connection to get better again.

This may seem relevant but honestly try buying another router. If you have like a $300 gaming router then maybe not but if it's a bog standard one try bumping it up and get a better one. I recently fixed a lot of issues of mine game related by buying a new router and not using the one my ISP gave me.

alright.. anyone know a good n easy link to how you open your ports?

There's no universal way of doing so because it relies purely on your router and ISP. Your best bet is to google something like "port forward on *insert router brand and model*".
