Ive decided i want to get the game however i don't know if i should get it on PC or PS4. Personally i would prefer PC but are there any technical reasons why PS4 would be better. In short does the game have any major technical issues.

Well, out of the box the steam version doesn't support controllers unless you use a program called x360ce.

Other than that I don't know any other issues.

Im not all too concerned with controllers but would the game be better with one or is it not much of an issue?

If you are used to KB & Mouse you can play this game with them just fine.

However, the DLC has been broken on Steam since forever with no sign of it getting fixed... ever. So if you're interested in that you might be better off with the PS4 version.

Is the dlc anything big or is it just costumes and such?

It's fine. Rebinding the controls is a pain in the a**. But other than that it's smooth.

They do have some in-game effects, i.e. one allows you to carry survivors faster, another gives you food-related and explosion & fire skills. They're a neat extra but you can absolutely play without them.

if you're planning on using a controller, I would honestly say just get the PS4 version. Controller support for the PC version simply does not work (I tried multiple solutions I found online and nothing worked) and honestly, playing this game with mouse + keyboard is kind of a pain

Honestly Like sjtyree says the controller support is so bad on steam you're better off on PS

Not a very good port. I deleted it as I had cut scenes freezing up or just acting up but during gameplay it was fine. No proper controller support is lame. I might it get it on ps4 instead later when it goes on sale again.

Had zero issues. Didn't use a controller because this is the PC version.

Garbage port. I can't even save my game, tried multiple times and contacted Capcom support with a big "F you, we can't fix our own game" as an answer. I don't recommend it at all.

It's pure ass, get DR2 instead. My pc can run DR2 no problem but there's no way I can say the same for OTR.
