Co-op doesn't work

I am trying to play Co-op with my friend but when I invite him and he tries to join, I don't get a call to accept him in the game.

From what I can tell, there isn't much of a solution for this. There are tons of forum posts about it and I spent a couple hours trying to crawl the discussions and figure it out last night. If you find a reliable solution, it'd be great to hear. Sadly I don't know of one.

Nu uh, we tried having it public and friends-only, but neither of them worked.

it does work, just buggy as heck. host has to wait one or two minutes after starting for steam matchmaking broadcasting his open game and the client, in case he couldn´t join after the first request, has to get spammed with invites

Hi all! Yesterday i had the same problem and i fix them easy and the reason is that i dont have any save games, so i start the game for first time and until i dont save for first time my buddy cant join to me and i cant join to him. Sorry for my english and have a nice day!

There is a fix for this, You need to disable multisampling from the options menu. Had the same problem.

This is what you have to do. It just worked for me and it works the same for Deadrising2.

Both players send invite to game request. Host accepts but doesnt proceed to join the game. Meanwhile player 2 jojns the host invitation and proceeds to join the game completely. After some seconds host will get player 2 request.
