Not sure if this is related but if your on the Windows 8.1 preview, it screwed up the update process for some reason so you get errors and crashes (My windows 8 laptop which is an identical mirror of my desktop before the 8.1 update works kinda okay, having fullscreen issues at the moment with that)

Oh, it is effectively Windows 7 with Classic Shell (refuse to use the Metro Start screen:P)

For me the download bar doesn't even progress over time. That tells me that either you're no longer able to get the update needed to play Lost Planet 2 or there's a problem with GFWL.

Yeah having fullscreen issues too. Using Windows 7, goes into windowed on both settings when on or off.

Uninstall the ancient GFWL client. Install the latest one.

Solution Here: Crash game (APPCRASH), UPDATE for GFWL, Working Fine Now! Anyway I Request Your Help People for Request The SinglePlayer and Savegame able Without the GFWL in the Future!
The game Don´t works after you update the "Game For Windows Live", so you can´t get this game properly works online player (Cooperative), so the Solution if you can´t running or get the "APPCRASH" xlive.dll Error is:

First: Delete the game files through Steam Client and then Download again the game through Steam Client.

Second: Make a backup of the game with your Steam Client: Steam -> Make Security Backup.

Third: Uninstall/Delete The "Game For Windows Live" or "Microsoft Game For Windows Live marketplace".

Fourth: Install the game again through Steam Client: Steam -> Recovery(Restore From The Steam Security Backup of the Game) Games.

Five: Go to the folder of the Game: "Steam\SteamApps\common\Lost Planet 2\" and click to install the file: "gfwlivesetup". If this don´t works, let me know.


When the game is working you need to Update the "Game For Windows Live" for be able to play the game Online, so you need do this Final Steps:

Step 1.) Do Click/Open the file: "wlsetup-idcrl Windows Live ID Installer" and install this.

Step 2.) Do Click/Open the file: "gfwlivesetup Games for Windows" and install this.

Step 3.) Go to the Folder: "XLive update1\Updates\43430808\Content" and do click to the file "Setup" and install this.

This is working for me in: Windows 7 (32 Bits), I think that it can works with Vista/Windows 8 (32/64 Bits, using the Windows 7 Compatibility).
