random game update?
anyone else who has this in their library just get an update. it just asked me to update the game

it updated without it now needing GFWL but something tragic just appeared. Not only did this just wipe my entire save file, but online was completely removed. I managed to get GFWL working, before the update if i found other payers, we could still co-op online... Now only system link and offline is available... making this completely solo single player only...

Hopefully whatever one guy at capcom updated it is working to get the steam multiplayer backend integrated

i hope so... cuz as of now, online is completely removed and this just wiped my entire save..

oh so they removed GFWL but removed online components? greaaaaaaat.....hopfully online update with steam works integration (or unlock files) I guess if you need online still either do the no update game exploit for steam or use steamDB to get an older game build if it still works.

i just tried downgrading the game but its forcing me to reupdate the game to the newest update in order to launch.. so even if i downgrade to the old version with the GFWL fix, it wont launch unless i update it and it forcefully removes online, and it fully deleted my save..

There any way to back up the saves from wherever they were in the GFWL folder to wherever they're saved now?

Just tested, it does NOT work if you copy it over the new one. Disappointing.

Well .... it was a step in some kind of direction.
Not sure if it was the right direction though.

Saves gone. Online gone.
Limited to System Link/Offline.

But hey.. .at least the GFWL logging into Xbox and hyper tiny UI font is gone.

at this point, id rather tussle with getting GFWL running than dealing with this update. i only played this game so i can play with friends. already beat this game 3 times alone, not doing a fourth

Looks like it could a first update cause the store page you cant buy the game still so there is hope for more updates to add MP.

Yeah I'm just gonna leave it un-updated until they confirm multiplayer isn't getting removed.
