Game just doesn't launch

I've had this issue for a long time, and it disappoints me because I played the first installment on console and every time I get around to installing this it just doesn't launch. I get to the launcher, either the DX9 or DX11 version then when I click the version it just closes the launcher and the game doesn't launch and it shows me no longer playing the game on steam, please refer.

I am having the same exact issue, this game did work months back before. I had to wipe out my drive and reinstall this, now it wont launch when I select DX9 or 11. HELP anyone?

It never worked for me even months before, I've owned the game for a while now, just never tried until fall, didn't work then, doesn't work now. But the issue is as described.

Hi guys I had the exact same issue, what you have to do is go into the game files in your steam folder, go into the lost planet 2 folder and click on the gfwlivesetup it sets up windows live if you don't already have it installed since the steam version doesn't automatically install it. So to simplify go to Computer/(the hard drive you installed steam onto)/ program files/steam/steamapps/common/Lost Planet 2 and click on gfwlivesetup. Hope this helped :)

Guys by uninstalling any previous version of GFWL and its marketplace you have installed and downloading and installing from this link below, I was able to update the game, login and create profiles and above all PLAY THE GAME:

I just fixed the whole thing, here's how I did it: I went to Computer/program files/steam/steamapps/common/Lost Planet 2 and ran application gfwlivesetup. Once it's done installing, uncheck the top and bottom box on the finish window. Close that window, then run LP2 for DX9 and it booted up for me! If you can't get it to work, try this before you give up like I did over a year ago!

Keep with the reinstalling with GFWL, sorted mine out not long after. add for LP2 co op if you get it sorted.
