Lost Planet 2

Anyone figure out how to get sound/audio working?
Would really like to play this game again, just finished a replay of the first one (which i bought twice since colonies edition is actually broken lol). i was hoping it would only be the oldest one that's messed up but i guess not. i saw a lot of people having this audio glitch but no fixes. i guess i could technically still play it but it's pretty lame with literally no sound

Would you happen to be using a bluetooth headset that can be used for phonecalls if paired with a cellphone? I've experienced a similar issue with a headset like that in other games and just had it happen in LP2 but only after I got the online part of GFWL to startup. The issue in my case is the game starts up and has the game audio on 'headphones' mode but when the game asks it to turn on the mic for voicechat the whole headset switches to a different 'phone call' mode and then I can only hear voice chat or nothing at all depending on the game. If I look at the sound mixer in volume control I see the headset as two items and the game audio is no on whatever it calls the phone mode.

Bumping because I'm having the same issue

the GFWL sounds work fine but nothing comes from the game, I've tried switching my sound quality to different kinds below 24 bit - 48000hz.

I had this same exact issue. What I found to fix it was opening up the Windows Live tray and going to settings. From there you can select audio and choose where you want the audio to ouput to.
