Posting the error log maybe could bring ideas to help you out of the issue.
DX9 works perfectly and I'm using SweetFX, too. Game looks much better.
My PC specs: Core i3-3220, 8 GB DDR3 and Radeon HD 7750.
When it crashes you should have a notification reporting the occurred error, usually is part of the error notification system, otherwise in the Windows Event Viewer is also present the very same data.
My theory is that you could have a wrong D3D version installed, your hardware is OK for the game, even if you should have a DDR3 7750, unless you're asking too much to it through in-game video settings though, however, check your d3d11.dll (in C:\Windows\SysWOW64 folder if you're in Win7/64), it should be something like 6.1.7601 and NOT 7602 or else, if it's anything else it means that you have a wrong D3D version your system (installed probably through automatic updates configured to install even optional ones) and maybe with a different KB name based on the system you're using, in that case you should find the correct KB number to remove harvesting the MS knowlegbase data, there should be a page listing every version for every "affected" system...somewhere.
Hope it helps.
Google didn't came up with anything when I searched for it :(.
Did you check what the crash log says ? (in Windows Event Viewer, you can find it in system-properties->computer-management->windows-registry->applications->...
Alternatively when the application crashes usually shows up the error reporting window in which you can find the same details by clicking the "show more info" button (bottom left).
I found out that I was the culprit myself. When you start up Lost Planet onn Steam you will get a menu with 3 options:
1. Play Lost Planet: Extreme Condition
2. Launch DirectX9 version
3. Launch DirectX10 version
I always choose the first option. Today I choose the third option.
So yah I assumed that the first option one was also the DX10, stupid me.
Anyways Thank You for your time JackLaVaporiera.
Much appreciated!!!

You should take a look at the Windows Event Viewer logs as soon as the application crashes.
