Game won't launch

Hello, I've just bought Lost Planet: Etreme Condition - Colonies Edition.

But... The game won't launch.

I click on the game, select Direct 9X or 10X, both give me the same result.
A black screen for a few second, then the message "there has been a problem with blablabla
Window is going to close that program and indicate you if a solution is possible." (it's in French for me. Hello from France)

I played Lost Planet 3 and I absolutly loved it. (but the game for strange reason don't save anymore... And I'm forced to start a new game each time I want to play it.)



Do you guy have any idea?
I run Window 8 by the way.

Similar problem. Game won't launch after Selection between DirectX 9 and 10. No black screen or message. Windows 8.1 and Windows 10

I think it just doesn't run on Windows 8. I had it run (somewhat. Real laggy) on my older crap computer running Windows 7.

Got Win7 PC with the same problem ... Game tries to start, black game screen then it just take a quarter of the monitor and i get an error message.

Installing it now. I'll let you know how it goes because the redists wouldn't actually install anything cus win10

okay i found my solution, i have Batman Arkham Asylum and being that this was one of the windows live game i had already i started the game up and it was installing gfwlivesetup and when it finish i started the batman and exit out. i then started the lost planet and it ask to sign in my windows live account and it started to download updated for the game. after the downloads the game started working.

Thats another nice, local work around. Just install any GFWL game that actually works out of the box. (pardon the innaccurate analogy.) Even Dark Souls 1 without the steamworks patch beta option enabled should do it.

This is how i fixed mine. First Uninstall any and all version of GFWL, reboot your pc. then go to this address https://support.xbox.com/en-US/games/troubleshooting/troubleshoot-games-for-windows-live-connection-problems#c564a83f409948e4bf91e2cd89055d92 and install the most recent official version of GFWL from Microsoft and run the application after it installs and sign in with an account. load the game then it should actually load the game and when you select new game it will have you sign into your GFWL account. you may have to do a small update and load the game again.
