Lost Planet: Extreme Condition - Colonies Edition

Lost Planet: Extreme Condition - Colonies Edition

Single player differences?
Between this and the original edition? Other than what's written here: http://ign.com/articles/2008/03/13/lost-planet-extreme-condition-colonies-edition-fact-sheet

Some of that is confusing though. Are the new weapons and '5 new playable character models' multiplayer only? What does it mean 'new environments'? The new maps are already mentioned there. And any other changes beyond those?

Playable characters and weapons are PVP only. New environments are PVP only. Only differences in single player are the 3 new modes.

Thanks. I saw another comment of yours where you mentioned some characters being removed in Colonies as well..?

Yeah Joe, Yuri, and Frank West in a Megaman outfit are not in Colonies for some strange reason. Same goes for the PS3 exclusive Luka.

Just to clarify: so it's some game modes (which I don't care about) plus some camera options, versus a few singleplayer skins?

The FPS mode is not actually new. In the original, first person view is another zoom mode which can be exited by hitting zoom again, entering a VS, or jumping. In Colonies first person view is fixed and I think can actually be used in a VS.
As for playable characters in singleplayer, you can play optionally a different character in singleplayer by hitting a certain button on the controller. It's a secret and I don't know if you can do it with keyboard or even in Colonies. The character you want to play must also be unlocked which requires playing the PVP for some of them. I think the Megaman character is unlocked by beating the campaign.

Ah, well I'll most likely only play through it once so it sounds like the differences are even more inconsequential for me. Thanks.
