LIke the title says, don't waste your money buying this game. It will continually ask for a login system that doesn't exist anymore. I have an existing MSN/GFW login, and thanks to "updates" this game doesn't care one bit about it being valid. It'll kick you out because why should you ever be allowed to play a game without a super secret login.

lol im sorry but it does work , and if you can't figure it out there are guides and what not on how to get GFWL to work. so yeah people should buy the game if they really care because this game is amazing you just have to figure out how to get it to work. from what I know you can download GFWL if you look it up and should work. Also run the game in DX 9 becuase its reccommended for this game.

No, no it doesn't. Try a fresh install and installing GFW live. It keeps asking for a login just to start a new game. I'm glad you provided a "link" to show how to get around this issue. Really shows how I'm not wrong and you are. This game is a waste of money.

LOL bro please dont start because me and a group of people still play this game. and reason why I couldn't help is because I got help from a friend as well so if he gets on ill let him know to help you because I don't remember so you are wrong and this game isn't a waste of money. just be patient and wait for him to help ill let him know that you are having trouble he is smart.

I think this might be a case of ID 10 T Error...

I love this game have not played it in years and recently installed it on a new 2nd HD. Just went through the final part of installing it when you go to click play. Had no issues signing into Windows Live, and the game works fine other than not having my screen resolution lol.

Id suggest following the help tips people have posted.

I solved my problem today by clicking "Create a new account", then scrolling down the text and clicking on this very discreet, almost hidden option "Create a local account". This will bypass any connection trial, but you're stuck with single player mode and no achievements.

I totally share your anger against GFWL, but at least you can play the story.

Not everyone plays multiplayer or cares for the extra singleplayer modes.

what version of windows are u using?
I am running win 7 64 and i have to use i.e.9 but ALL the GFWL games work this way! So try reverting to internet explorer 9 if you can.

GFWL is still used for BSP, and still works. Other games requiring it (Best example being Halo Wars 2 btw.) work too. Its about the playerbase, why bother play an old, not much loved game at all?

You're thinking of Halo 2. HW2 uses its successor which is Win10 only.

I think games that had GFWL should have that patched out since microsoft killed that program anyways. If it gets killed off then things like that should (in my opinion and i see many many others) have that patched out of being required. Its the main reason i do not purchase any games that require GFWL (it saves alot of headache's and unfunctionality/issue's arising).

SRSLY, a software must not have to create so much headache to so many ppl. And the worst thing its owner could do, after nothing (which it seems to be the case) is blame the user.

Even if it was only 1 person having problems, it'd not be that preson's fault. Being so many people, do you really want me to believe it's their fault?! Why in hell so much trouble is required to make it work??

Anyway. I don't plan playing multiplay. I don't like multiplay with a very few exceptions. So, excluding multiplay, this game only has a few extra content smaller than a small DLC-wise, over the other game?

Fix your computer, all games with GFWL aka XBL for Windows, aka the Windows 10 Xbox app haven't gone anywhere and work just fine. I use them all the time.
