Weird audio problem

I don't know why this has been happening, but for some reason there is a very peculiar audio problem with both Lost Planet and LP: Colonies. Any time I get into a VS (for example the first VS in the first mission), I start shooting the gatling gun, and there's an audio tearing? It's as if there's a bit of static, but there's no other sound (no gun shots, nothing from the akrids being shot). However, if I'm outside a VS and just shooting, it's not as apparent unless I shoot into the sky, cause then it happens again. Lost Planet 2 works fine as well as literally every game besides these two, so I know it's not a driver problem or anything wrong with both my headphones and my speakers. What do?
