How do I get GPU physx working
Hi
I purchased the game as it is supposed to support gpu physx. It is really to test out my system. There is some sort of patch I downloaded, but it does not work. Its an old game, so not expensive. As I got it specifically for physx I am annoyed. Maybe l will get a refund. Anyone with info on fixing this?

how can you tell that your physx is actually off?

From what I understand, you don't even need an Nvidia GPU to use PhysX - the CPU will pick it up if you're running an AMD/Ati card. The latest PhysX System Software can be found here:

http://www.nvidia.com/object/physx-9.16.0318-driver.html

A number of older games require the PhysX Legacy System Software, found here:

http://www.nvidia.com/object/physx-9.13.0604-legacy-driver.html

I know this question is old but I figured others might stumble onto it the same as I did. I had to install the legacy driver a little while back but I can't for the life of me remember what game it was for.

That was a while back. I just got a refund. As I recall the legacy physx caused all other physx applications to crash.

Yeah, okay, glad you were able to get the refund. It didn't cause any conflict on my system because I had never used PhysX to begin with (I have a Radeon HD 7560D.) I appreciate the info, though - always like to stay informed as much as possible even when it doesn't immediately apply to my own computer.
