Tracing Patterns in the observatory
It took me a bit to figure out what patterns we were to trace. I went on to find all three and traced in #3 first. The red light locked and when i went back to #2 or #1, no beep, no thing. It is not allowing me to trace #1 or #2. I've seen it done in a vid walkthrough (the person doing #3 first and they got through it). I have no idea how to finish this puzzle (since it stopped working), shy of redoing the chapter.

Any help is appreciated, Thank you

Same issue here - it is painfully slow to even move the globe around. I found 3 but 1 and 2 don't light up. Is it a bug?

EDIT
LOL - figured it out. Setting my resolution refresh rate from 120 down to 60hz on my nvidia card allowed the stupid globe to spin more freely. That allowed me to get to sections of the globe I could not before. Weird bug.

thats where im stuck right now - literally nothing is lighting up ( after finishing number 3 ) wherever i move on the globe - cheked the locations on a youtube vid but nothing happening... i really dont wanna restart the chapter

don't.. just give it a day or two.. i know its a pain in the ... but saves starting to watch it do it again

Apparently they never fixed this bug, because it's now 2024, I'm playing the game, and I have this same issue (found #2 pattern but #1 and #3 cannot be seen on the globe and cannot be entered into the display). Reset my refresh rate to 60hz and nothing changed.

Changing graphics to very low and resolution to 1440x900 worked for me.

For me seems not to be broken, and works fine. But im on resolution 1366x768, graphics of course set on max

I have had the same issue on my main PC and on my laptop. Changed resolutions and refresh but nothing seems to make it work. I've checked the locations on youtube and the blue lines appear to be completely different even tho the underlying star maps are the same. HELP!
