Games like The Room on PC
Hello, I've been an avid fan of the room every since it's first installment came to PC.

(I don't really want to play these games on my phone, but I might crack one day to play The Room: Old Sins since a PC port is probably 2 years away).

TLDR:
Can you guys suggest or name some similar games to the room?

(For such a popular puzzle franchise, I'm surprised there isn't more games like it. The closest thing I've found is The House of Da Vinci. I highly recommend it, it is like The Room but perhaps the puzzles are a little more difficult.

Most games I find when searching for similar ones are Hidden Object, Point+Click adventure games. While I don't necessarily 'hate' that style, I don't find it to be quite the same as design theme of The Room and The House of Da Vinci.

I'd prefer games like these where it isn't find the object blended into the backround clicking everything, and where puzzles can be condensed and hidden all within the same room/box.

Also the Point and Click adventure format I don't aways find as entertaining, the plot/stories can be slow and I mostly just want the meat of puzzle focus with thrown into a room and find your way out.)

I see someone suggesting Safecracker, and while I like this game, I think I should warn you. This game is almost unplayable on anything more modern than Windows XP. Black screens, epileptic blinking of interface and so on. I heard some people manage to run it on Windows 7 or even 10, but it is an exception, not a rule. Unless you have a Windows XP or are willing to spend hours trying to configure the settings of the game and your graphics card driver, I advise against getting this game.

There is a fix for Safecracker. I've checked, it runs on Win10 x64 with it:

You might want to look at the Rusty Lake[www.rustylake.com] games. These are point-and-click puzzle games in the "hidden object" vein, although the objects aren't exactly hidden. They are somewhat less polished than The Room games, created in Flash with an (intentionally) crude hand-drawn art style. The puzzles tend to be a bit more complex than The Room.

Most of the Cube Escape games are available for free on their website (you can use the stand-alone Flash player if you don't trust the browser plug-in), but a few of their titles are available on Steam:

I recently got hooked on "The Room" series prior to discovering The Dream Machine and completed it last week....if you haven't already tried it, it's definitely worth it !!

First 2 chapters are great for testing the waters (beware - plenty of broccoli) :

You can play The Room Old Sins on PC in an Android emulator called BlueStacks. BlueStacks is free, although you will need to buy Android version of Old Sins through Google Play.

There are some problems with the absence of multi-touch on PCs, and this game uses multi-touch in 3 puzzles, but BlueStacks has some options to add a keyboard shortcut for touch/click areas of the screen inside games (use keyboard icon and drag "touch areas" to the screen, then assign a keyboard shortcut for it). Also there's some other puzzle in the game when you need not only to touch with two fingers, but also pull with two fingers, just use another option in BlueStacks for this.

With the help of these BlueStacks features you can finish Old Sins on PC. It's fully playable in BlueStacks, and with a good framerate. I think I successfully managed to finish the game in this emulator (don't remember exactly because at first I completed the game on my real physical Android tablet).

Was looking for puzzle game suggestions and I bumped into this thread.

I just finished playing The Initiate and The Initiate 2, they're both really good puzzle games with a mystery/horror vibe to them. Definitely recommended.
