Ballerina puzzle bug/terrible design has left me out of this game
I've come to really like the The Room games, and when I started playing this third installment, I thought I could come to love the series. Now I'm stuck in this horrible bad-designed timing mess and I'm afraid, after 2 hours of clicking and trying for nothing, which left me near leaving the game for good, that there's a bit of bitterness growing in my perception of the series. It is mostly because I've search this problem online and it seems even restarting the chapter won't resolve it, and I haven't read anything of utillity after several searches. I've seen that is a recurrent problem for the players but I have not seen it correctly adressed. It would be a shame to restart the whole chapter, let alone the whole game!

Weird, not clear what goes wrong with your game but I just started today playing, and had the ballerina puzzle in a few minutes done. It's fairly easy when you know how it works. I only missed in the beginning the timing , but it's certainly no bug.
Everything is working just smooth.

In my opinion the puzzles are fairly simple, the room 2 seemed more difficult. Now only in chapter four there is one alignment puzzle of colours, which looks something like Rubik's cube, I'm not good at those, so I take a break of it. Otherwise I'll be ready to soon either hahaha.

I read there are different endings with achievements, if that means to start al over every time, i might skip that. I'm not a fan of redoing something I already know.

But is stil beautiful made.

No, all endings can be done with one save.

Great to hear. Only in time I would revisit these games, they last to long in my memory hahaha.

So are you complaining about the design of this puzzle, or have you suffered a bug in your file? It's as different as sucking in a game and coming to the forums to whine and actually reporting a problem with the game.

Maybe I spoke in a rage. I'm angry because many players have addressed this same problem and because it's not an actual 'bug' the developers seem to not be able to give an actual solution, they just indicate how to resolve the puzzle -which I know- and remark that is a matter of timing -which I dare to say it isn't just that, given the hour or so I've invested in trying to click the thing at the right time (it's not that the trilogy is a timing nightmare, is it?). I chose not to report the problem formally because, I've said, I've seen no proper response to this more than a general solution indication. Maybe I should have. I am not the best at games, I don't think I suck, either. It's for that reason that I came here pretty upset, I had have no problems with the first two games.
Maybe there is a walkthrough to be found with an example of that part?
I know IGN makes good ones, in many cases even with gameplay so you can relive it better. It really isn't that hard.
For some games, when I'm really stuck in for instance getting achievements done like in TR i will have a quick look. Otherwise i want too experience it myself of course.
If you can't find one i might try out to capture it if i can do the chapter separately again (never done it before hahaha).

I appreciate that. I've already seen walkthroughs of that puzzle, and the timings of the clickings and the paths of the ballerina, etc. It just doesn't change tracks when I do it. The problem is with the second ballerina in an specific change of tracks (the shortest and therefore the one with the most thorough timing), and I've seen others complaining about the same one.

I have seen a guide here on Steam with links to a Youtube channel, its in French, but language isnt really of matter here, it shows it perfectly. See this around minute 45:00

What I do know, you click which activates the extra tracks, they go out after a certain time, I guess that timing might be the issue here. You really dont have to click to many times, like is shown in this movie.
If the clicking doesnt really work with you, then there can be a bug of some kind which you should report in with the devs, yes I know you already contacted them, but then you can maybe make it more clear what the exact problem is. And maybe you can record your effort to assist to your case. But first try above and let us know if it works for you.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who cannot get her on the second track during the smaller circle. It absolutely sucks

You already have the left one done? The right ballerina has to travel south on the big circle, then to the small circle in north east and approach the centre from the east. It is pretty annoying. Just remember that when the button is pressed, the orange tracks don't work. When the button is off, these tracks become available, and the ballerina will use those by default.

I nearly gave up too but it was the display settings that needed changed. Now it is fine

I happened to change my computer with more RAM and then it was no problem, so maybe it was something like that.
