Play the first, get adicted and come for the second. It's my opinion! ;)
In the first game, the dealer is your enemy. It's very clear. In the second game, the dealer is essentially trying to make you fight their enemies.
The attempt to fluff the sequel with more variety just resulted in diluting the whole expereince.
I have finished the first game several times.
Honestly there are a lot of little things that are better in this one. The missions are more coherent and immersive as a whole, the game is prettier, and the combat... Oh well, it's really a matter of taste, this one is a little less button mashing, a little bit more strategic if that's your cup of tea. Both are great and I would say different enough to give them a go.
Thanks!
Thanks!
I really enjoyed the first one though, but again, you can jump straight into this one without a problem.
The only reason to go back to hand of fate 1 would be the endless mode for me, but that will also be implemented here.
So far I think this game is a strict improvement over the first one, but the first one still has it's charms.
In the first, it felt like a straight up dungeon crawler, whereas this one feels like a set of self-contained stories that overlap, and have completely different feels to them.
