Two hand weapons?
they are only slower...everything are the same...it dose not interrupt attack...has no AOE effect
there is no reason to use a hammer in combat...

I found it opposite. Heavy weapons are by far extremely unbalanced and the best in any circumstance.

They dont stop you from doing anything. They do more damage, more quickly, and have lower weapon ability hit count needed.

In fact, the only way I manage to kill the unfair horde of 3 goblins w timer, 3 cutthroats, 5 thieves, and 2 anarchists is ensuring to use the rusty axe.

Yeah, dont ever need to use anything else.

So far two handed weapons are the most OP combat style in the game. Pretty much everything dies faster to them and even the supposedly agile thieves who dodges them. So there is indeed every reason to go for the hammer.

Two handed weapons do a lot of on hit dmg, but their DPS is about the same as other weapon types. The swords do about 2/3 the damage but are faster, and more defensive if you have a shield. Daggers do about half the dmg a sword does but every attack with them is a double attack, they are very fast and can riposte thieves with a pretty devastating attack.

You can also riposte with a sword (if you have a shield), as well as daggers (although the enemies you can riposte with each differ), two handed weapons can't riposte at all.

When it comes to the combo, it's good to remember that attack speed is the big thing that governs how fast it charges, that's why the heavier the weapon, the less hits you need for the ability.

I personally am not a huge fan of the two handed weapons because you can't animation cancel an attack to dodge, meaning the faster the weapon, the more reliably you can dodge.

All the weapon types have their pros and cons and work better/worse than others in different situations, which makes sense for balancing, I do feel like two handed weapons are somewhat underwhelming though, I'm sure they're great in some situations, I just haven't found said situation yet.

^ wrong.
The attack speed is virtually the same.
If you cant dodge during animation (the hitboxed are horrible anyway) then objectively the best thing to do is end it fast

Hammers to the most damage, the fastest. You literally just never gave them a chance, clearly

Depends on playstyle i guess.During combat i rarely get to attack often since i would like to focus on dodging. So two-handed weapons makes the most sense to me since each attacks deals a huge amount of damage and i dont need to mash the attack button as much XD.

The other weapons probably makes more sense if you're better at blocking and are much more aggressive in combat i guess.

I am pretty aggressive in combat yea, I haven't yet found the need to be more methodical with my movements, if that were to happen however, unless the enemies almost always use red attacks then I think i'd still go with the option to riposte as I have learned to do it reliably and it generally does lots of damage when successful.

As for the person above, I have given heavy weapons plenty of chance, I have used a few different ones and have exclusively used them on some missions as well. From the testing I have done, the animation for the heavy weapons are slower than one handed weapons (especially with bashes which can be useful for enemy red attacks), maybe there are some out there that are faster that I have not yet encountered but until then, I prefer to use a lighter weapon to more reliably dodge.

I'm not saying any weapon type is better or worse than any other, the pros and cons, as well as playstyle come into it (forgot to mention playstyle before XD)

With what Ive seen so far, its objective that heavy weapons qre simply better. If youd like to bring mathematics into it...well I wont go into detail

But plainly- heavy weapons are supposed to be stronger and slower. As it stands, they are 10% slower, and 40-70% stronger. Not balanced, even a little.

Thats all.

Bashes however, there may be something there. I barely use bashes. And just now with the axe, the bash was so slow at first its even more not worth doing. Dont know how they stack up, but I ignore them mostly

Heavy weapons are good against empire and enemies have armor.Your knocking against armor causes double damage and it's as fast as other weapons.
