How do I get the Blitzkrieg mod to work?

When I tried to start it shouldn't be started with Steam or something like that. Can I just start it or is there something else I can do?

i belive u cant run mods on company of heroes if you use the steam version. i advice you to buy the game on disc i think you will have company of heroes and opposing fronts together on disc for less then 10 euro. then take into encount on how much mods you can play and it will definitly be worth the extra 10 euro,s on this game

actually, the aboive is incorect.

I can play blitzkrieg and modern combat easly enough useing my steam version of the game. why it does not work with your computer is beyond me: i just used the standard instualer and it worked first time.

Did you install it into the right sub folder ? I had to change the installer to the steam.

I just downloaded the Installer and installed it. My friend told me how to play it without steam or something of that nature but I can't recall what he said

Just as mentioned above, make sure that you install it into the correct game directory (something like C:\...\Steam\steamapps\common\company of heroes) and then just run Blitzkrieg from the shortcuts created by the installer on your desktop. If you install it into the wrong folder, it will not work.

I had the same problem.
I have been a longtime coh fan so every mod i have tried out.
In doing so i have a lot of clutter in my coh1 relaunch (new steam version) folder.
I deleted all local files from steam then manually deleted the files left in the game install folder then did a fresh install.
Installed the BK mod game
Installed the BK mod patch
Ran the game.
All works fine.
