No CD Key?

I was given Company of Heroes as a gift, and I installed it. As I go into the game to play, everything is locked, and it says I need a valid CD Key. Where do I get this CD key at?

It should be on the box/case or back of the manual that came with the game.

You need to download Company of Heroes 'New Steam Version' to play online.

You can get this by activating your CD key under your games tab.

Or, you got a Steam Gift. When you click on the game in your library to the right of the main screen should be a list, in that list there should be 'CD Key'

Yes, I saw this and it is stuck on Requesting key, regardless on how long I wait. So what do I do?

Depending on the version you gave is what you have blocked .... For example the Normandy campaign should be able to play
The other missions are DLC you have to buy, opposing front and tales of courage

I don't know, it should all be automatic and you shouldn't really need to put in a CD key.

But. hmmm. Did you download the New Steam Version, the 'old' version may not be very co-operative to the system now that it has no on-line capabilities.

Otherwise I don't know why you can't see it. Your anti-virus or firewall isn't blocking it. All out of ideas...

I have the Steam version, so is that the same as the old one?

The New Steam version uses Steamworks servers which are online.
The old version tries to connect to servers which are offline now.

You only need to download and play the new version.

By "Gifted", do you mean someone gave it to you thru steam, or physically gave you a copy? What exactly did they gift. Their is an original COH + two stand alone expansions.

It was given to me through steam, it also came with all the other COH.

look, just 1 campaign is unlocked in the normal version, all the others are to pay extra, a few months ago there was a special offer where u got normal+OF+ToV for just 9€ but not anymore.
