COH: Dosent start, says insert disc

Firstly, i do not own the steam version, but it is a legit version i got from the stores.

But heres the story, i have the COH anthology, so all 3 games on one disc, i used to play it heaps on my old school laptop that had a CD drive.
After that the school gave us new laptops without CD drives, but this was ok as i had saved it onto and had been playing it off an external harddrive on that old laptop i previously mentioned.
So i played it off my external harddrive on the new laptop and had no issues for a while. Then just recently i got the "please insert Disc" message that usually comes up when your not connected to the internet, but this time i had internet connection. Theres no way i can start the game now because there is no CD drive on the new laptops :(

So does anyone know a way around this?

In a nutshell,

THQ went bankrupt, the servers have moves over to Steamworks.
So you have to 'redeem' the game keys on Steam if you still have the CD Keys.
Steam will then give you a Company of Heroes 'New Steam Version' to play. This allows you to play online by using your steam profile. All your stats and friends from your relic account will not be on this :(

If you do not have your CD Keys any more there is a tool somewhere on the interweb which lets you recover them by using your email, password and username for your Relic account.

You can still play the 'Relic' version, but not online and only with CD in drive.

If you have the CD keys, log onto your steam, click 'games' up top left, then 'activate product on steam'.
