activating retail CoH on steam...
yes I searched the forums for an answer I didn't really find one, but anyway I was wondering if I can activate my retail CoH on steam. Yes I checked the list and I found opposding fronts but not the original CoH. can I still do it though because I saw that for another game series (the Supreme Commander series) and the list says I can activate the original and the second one but not the expansion although I activated it for the expansion. (sorry if I am confusing anyone)

You can edit a discussion ;) (top right corner of the post) But I can't help you with your main question, I'm sorry to say :(

Activate your Opposing Fronts CD key on Steam.
Hopefully, the New Steam Version will be put into your Steam account as well as a Opposing Fronts title.
You only need to download the New Steam Version
You should only have access to Opposing Fronts content in the New Steam Version. If you have access to other content, well that's a bonus.

You can recover your CD kets if you forgot them by using the CD key recover tool.

I think a sticky at the top of the forum should have more information.

And, even if it doesn't work, nothing bad will happen if you try.

I was talking about the original not opposing fronts. If I was talking about opposing fronts I wouldn't have started this.

If you have the CD key for the original just add it to your Steam account. Just replace everything I said about Opposing Fronts with Original/base game.

I'm pretty confused on original your post though.

And, even if it doesn't work, nothing bad will happen if you try. Read the Sticky at the top of the forum.

By 'second one' I guess you mean... Opposing Fronts, and not CoH 2.
And by expansion, I'm not sure what you mean. There are two expansions for CoH. Opposing Fronts and Tales of Valor. Both of which are standalone expansions. You can activate it for one, but not the other. Do you have individual CD keys for all the expansions? Or are you saying that the list lied.

All I know if that you can activate all CoH retail copies on Steam provided you have the CD keys. You will then have access to the content in Company of Heroes 'New Steam Version'.

I was talking about a different game. For that game I could activate 1.5 (expansion of the first one) yet the list says I can only activate 1 and 2 not 1.5. Yes all of those games are standalones

how do i get the cd key when i get the game from steam

most steam games have it in the details section. when you select a game you should see a button that is "cd key" but if you don't see it anywhere then the game doesn't have one
