what is different between Coh and Coh legacy edition?

Well there's the little Steam Cloud icon next to the legacy edition, so I guess maybe that means it saves your campaign progress and achievements? Haven't tested it myself.

Coh works only online even singleplayer missins
Coh le works only offline

look at marker there are still item from coh se
so there are 3 types of coh and also is coh2

Last night some random dude joined me on what I thought was going to be a single player skirmish, ya know, just the AI and me, I left the slots open while browsing the map list and when I look back there's a guy waiting on the second slot. x.x

So yeah, while you can play alone that kind of stuff can happen too.

also another difference is when placing building and how often the soldier models bugs out into T-pose
