V wing broken

I am up to the last mission before the bonus levels and am screwed. The V wing has no crosshair and the secondary will not fire, even getting a bronze is impossible. I am on windows 10 and missed the cluster missle in the mission before.

Played the first mission with the V wing and it works fine now.

What I've found might happen is that if you finish a mission with the homing secondary weapon enabled, for example Homing Concussion Missiles or Proton Torpedoes which have their own, yellow, reticle, selected, this might break the reticle completely and the ability to use secondary weapons.

Even if that's not the cause, closing the game completely and restarting it should fix it.

That bug was even in the N64 version. The only solution is to restart the game and playing this mission first.

Actually, the V-wing is known for being broken for other reasons. Notably, rapid fire mode and Seeker Cluster missiles. Rapid Fire lays waste to ground targets, and if you tap the laser button, you should never overheat it. And if you grab the single Seeker Cluster Missile upgrade on Mission 15, one single missile can shoot down an entire squadron of TIEs in the blink of an eye.

Sure, you can't really unlock the full potential of this vehicle until the end of the game, but oh boy, when you do... It makes getting Gold Medals on several missions considerably easier.
Sure, it may be pretty glass cannon (It seems to have about the same HP as the A-wing),.. But unlike the underpowered A-wing, this ship is an absolute beast.

V-Wing can destroy anything in this game. Cool part is sometimes an entire laser burst from the rapid fire cannon counts as one shot.

So I restarted my game, played (and got gold in) the first mission, restarted my game again. I still dont have the crosshairs.
