STAR WARS™: Rogue Squadron 3D

HTF am I supposed to be in 3 places at once?
Escape from Fest is the biggest crock of ♥♥♥♥ in ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ level design I've EVER seen. Defend the walkers, did we mention there are three AT-ATs and one's already shooting the walkers? Or how about we blow the gate with the award for worst timing on the planet? What do you mean "don't blow the gate with an AT-AT and an army of tanks and a star destroyers worth of gun batteries behind it? What do you mean you're still ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ working on the first walker? What do you mean you can't be in three places at once? I've delt with ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ levels before, but this takes the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ cake.

Don't worry, this level is very beatable, you just need to learn what to do and when to do it. I am fully behind your feel that this level is brutal and almost unbeatable if you don't do everything in the correct order. I'll tell you what I did to beat this level with a gold medal and hopefully it'll help you:

Immediately after the opening cutscene, fly to the right and destroy shield generator, then take care of the AT-AT there, take some of the Stormtroopers and the building with you as you get the walker.
After the walker falls, make your way beyond the gate and get the AT-AT threatening the AT-PTs. Also look out for those Stormtroopers again and destroy the building.
After the gate is down, which should happen soon after you defeated the second walker, the tanks will start to spawn. They always appear in groups of three and can be a real pain in the ***, but the way to beat them is to pay attention to the pattern they appear in.
When the AT-PTs are relatively safe from the tanks for a moment, go and take care of the third walker at the end of the canyon. Then, when the tanks stop spawning or ar too far away to pose a threat, watch out for a couple of TIE Bombers that'll spawn and try to get the AT-PTs, deal with them accordingly.
Once the Bombers are dealt with, you can finally take care of the Research Facility on the other side of the map (the big building that was guarded by the shield and rocket launchers), so you can get the enhanced technology that'll drop once you destroy all the buildings there - and it's always good to kill a few more enemies just in case you need them for the Gold medal.
After that the AT-PTs should have no further problem in reaching the escape zone.

I hope this helps you beat this utterly frustrating level... just remember, timing is everything in this mission.

Probably one most difficult levels in the game but I have done it check my run for tips: https://youtu.be/eEadXbSdoQo

Go toward AT-AT and take it down. Fly over the gate to destroy that AT-AT. Go back toward the AT-PTs and take a left. Take down that AT-AT. Stay close to AT-PTs for the rest of their journey.

By the time i taking down the third AT-AT, the tanks had already spawned and the AT-PTs start getting killed.

One thing that is very important to note is that, if I recall correctly, you absolutely DO NOT want to beeline straight for the AT-PTs. Essentially what happens is the AT-PTs start in range of the AT-AT in their area, but it won't fire if you don't get close enough for the area to come active, or something like that. You actually need to stall a bit, probably just long enough to clear out the AT-AT by the shield generator. You might not want to take the generator down yet if you're just looking to beat the level though; there are missile turrets that are inside the shield, and they can't harass you if you don't drop the shield. One the AT-PTs are safe you have all the time in the world anyway if you're only objective is clearing the level.
