La madre que los pario. Esto no requiere una 'quick guide' sino una 'Encyclopedic guide for geeks'. En la Nintendo 64 se soplaba el cartucho y listo.

Easier to enter the "cheat passwords" than to get the game started.
Same thing with Linux / Proton.

No clue still how to fix?
On Win 7, here is a possible solution to get it run:

Use REGEDIT and change the "SoftwareOnly" key from "1" to "0" in the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Direct3D\Drivers

and then reboot the system and it should work.

The problem was the DXDIAG under 64bit worked fine but it was disabled for 32bit programs.
