At least let us know please so we can try it also.
Imagine how frustrated when I was a kid playing this game. I had no idea about option or the elements of the HUD. The Internet was not a big thing to look things up. I clicked the secondary fire button and the harpoon didn't show up (because you have to click it at a appropriate altitude and distance from ATAT's legs). I thought harpoon was non-existence. I thought shooting at it was the only way to get pass the mission. Such a tough time lmao
So I actually did try to beat Corellia without the tow cable. I was able to destroy the first AT AT in time, but I didn't get the second one before it blew up the tech center. I'm sure I could do it, but I don't feel like trying. I'm actually a bit amazed that it's possible to do. That was the first mission I really got stuck on as a kid even with the tow cable.
Ya you basically have to fly on a straight line from point A to point B as soon as the ATATs pop up, and optimize the amount of shots you can land on the ATATs by careful choosing the fly around distance after passing over the ATATs.
I didn't know you can upgrade the weapon though... Is that the yellow box I can pick up?
In fact, once you have advanced blasters, it's actually faster to shoot the AT-ATs (in the head) on Corellia than it is to trip them over. The world record for Corellia is currently 5:24, and can be seen here: https://www.speedrun.com/rogue1/run/zgwpdkdy
But be aware that the health of the AT-ATs increase over the course of the game. The AT-ATs in Imperial Construction Yards, Escape From Fest, and Battle of Hoth each have more hit points than the previous ones, so shooting them becomes increasingly less helpful.
Hoth seems to bug out sometimes and not end the level though.
Woah hey, you're not kidding. I guess that's an homage to Super Star Wars?
