Slow / sluggish gameplay....

Recently after fixing some super awful screen tearing problems with my laptop, pac-man 256 has become almost unplayable. The game loads fine and is somewhat playable, but every time you turn pac-man the game slows down and shudders, or the game completely glitches out for a few seconds. I can now get the game to play normally, but only if I continually move the mouse cursor. As soon as I stop moving the mouse cursor everything mentioned above immediately starts happening. Already sent an email with my log file & details....

I should have mentioned that the game previously ran fine. The only recently started giving me problems when I fixed some super awful screen tearing problems. I've played it enough to know that it can run just fine on my laptop. I also did check the specs before buying....

OS: Ubuntu 16.04 xenial
CPU: Intel Core i5-7200U CPU @ 3.1GHz
GPU: GeForce 940MX
RAM: 1598MiB / 11464MiB

OS your using is Ubuntu?
So then you are using an unsuppported OS because it says to use Windows in the requirements.
How long have you be using an unsupported OS? Has it given you problems before?
I think it might be safe to say that your problem lies with your operating system...and if you had no problems before you got lucky?

Actually if you go to the product page on steam you'll notice that under system requirements there is a SteamOS + Linux section and Ubuntu is listed as the os. So no I'm not using an unsupported os. My problems have only started since I fixed screen tearing issues. Yea it's easy to miss lol. Need to figure out why the game apparently runs fine when the mouse cursor is being moved & why it decides to run slow and glitch out when not being moved....

yes, this happens on Linux, devs please fix it. Good to know that moving the mouse is a workaround

Good to know I'm not the only one with this problem. Moving the mouse does work, but when you get a good score going your hand starts to get a little tired....
