Major Demo Update!

Ladies and gentlemen, the new demo update and trailer is out now!

This is by far the biggest update yet, with features such as:

New content.
New and improved puzzles.
More story and lore.
Full voice acting.
Improved art direction.
Better fonts for all languages.
Improved onboarding.
Fully implemented save system.
Support for more display resolutions.
More accessibility settings.

...and tons of other improvements and polish!

In terms of localization, we have both good and bad news.
We have unfortunately not had time to finish the Russian translation for this update, we hope you understand. However, the good news is that the game is now fully playable in Japanese and Traditional Chinese!

With all that being said, I truly hope you guys like this new version of the Shroud of Gloom Demo!

Stumped on the demo

So far I've accessed the dumbwaiter, ridden it up and been in the two rooms there, but aside from accessing that area, I haven't been unable to unlock anything else - safe, lock box with letters, piano puzzle, most locked doors, etc. I have two pictures, Edmund's Journal, a note about the generator, a hammer and 7 batteries. What am I missing??...

Major Update Incoming!

I'm happy to announce that we're working hard on the next update for the demo!

Recently, I have been focusing a lot on developing the full game, and unfortunately the demo has been collecting dust for some time, and it no longer reflects the quality that we're aiming for with the full version of the game.

It's time to change that! I'm currently working on a new improved demo for the game, it might take another couple of weeks to get the final touches done and sort out all of the localization, but I'm very excited about this one!

This is by far the biggest update yet, and it will feature:

New content.
New and improved puzzles.
More story and lore.
Full voice acting.
Improved art direction.
Better fonts for all languages.
Improved onboarding.
Fully implemented save system.

More accessibility settings.

I truly appreciate everyone that's played the demo and left a review so far, it really means a lot! However, if you haven't played the demo yet, you might want to hold off for a little bit longer, so that you can experience the new and improved version of the Shroud of Gloom Demo!

Japanese Localization!

We are very happy to announce that Shroud of Gloom will officially support Japanese!

This is something that has been requested before, and we are delighted to finally have found a localizer to help make this possible!

We are working hard to get the next demo update ready, which will have more content, new puzzles, and a lot more polish - and now we can finally say that it will be fully playable in Japanese too!

Any plans for Japanese language support?

Dear developer, I am very interested in this game. Since the store page was written in Japanese, I thought the game also supported Japanese, but it did not. I am not good at English, so I would be happy to have Japanese subtitles. Machine translation is acceptable. I hope for your consideration....
