Tag not found! Solved

For those of you that didn't manage to play Titan Quest and/or Titan Quest: Immortal Throne due to the "Tag not found" bug, here is the solution:

download the folowing patch:

This contains also the dialog files in english (that's why the file is 350Mb) but you only need the Text_EN.arc files for both TQ and TQIT.

Basically copy the Text_EN.arc file for TQ inside Text folder in: <install location>\Steam\SteamApps\common\Titan Quest\. If there is no Text folder just create an empty one.
For TQIT copy Text_EN.arc inside: <install location>\Steam\SteamApps\common\Titan Quest Immortal Throne\Resources\

In case you have the german version of the game and want to change the dialogs to english, then override the 2 Dialog.arc files inside their respective Audio folder. Back-up the original Dialog.arc files just in case.

I have spent a full hour to find this solution, and hopefully it helps somebody.

If you just want the Text_EN.arc files and don't want to change all the audio to English as well the text files are available in this thread:

You would need the version 1.30 file for Titan Quest and the version 1.10 file for Immortal Throne.

For me the problem was that I have the game in english, so my audio was already in english. I was completely missing the text files. I had none, german or english. The solution with Steam reparing the files was not working at all for me.

It's good to know that there is a link only with the text files.

P.S. Since yesterday I am trying to create an account at www.titanquest.net to download files, and the server is keep dying when I try to register :(
