Titan Quest: Immortal Throne

Titan Quest: Immortal Throne

Game crashes on Gameranger launch?
I'm trying to play the game's multiplayer via Gameranger, but every time I try running the game it crashes. The game runs fine when I launch from Steam. I've tried running as administrator and changing video settings, but nothing I've tried works. My friend's Belkin router isn't compatible with Tunngle so that isn't an option either. Please help!

If you wanna play via Gameranger, you gotta crack the file "tqit.exe" first, or you may see the application error "Fail to find Steam".

GameRanger is unable to locate Titan Quest until you put the steam.dll into its folder. You don't need to download some fishy drivers off the internet - its steam's own .dll that you already have on your computer. Just needs put into the TQ folder.

1) Copy the file steam.dll

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steam.dll

2) and paste into your game folder

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Titan Quest Immortal Throne

3) Now Gameranger will see your steam-TQ

Is there any other steam dlls you need to put in there to get steam in-game overlay?

I hadn't noticed that before because I rarely use the steam overlay, but I just checked and you are correct. F12 also doesn't take steamcloud screenshots, which I guess is part of the overlay package.

Not sure why this happens when using gameranger. Steam still shows me as playing TQIT and tracks the time, but the overlay isn't loading when it gets launched via Gameranger.

i got a solution for your problem.
if your game starts up whit game ranger.
press as fast as you can ctrl+alt+del.
this will intercept the start up from the game.
after that just continue whit starting up the game.
game rangers timing is a bit off so you join at the same time the server was made.
so by interupting the game, the game will be hosted and you will join.

good luck

I'm having the exact same issue. Upon using the gameranger Titan Quest will load and crash when the multiplayer screen appears. If I ctrl+alt+del the game doesn't crash but won't find the host's game. It's extremely frustrating :/
