Invalid CD key

Don't link me to any other threads, I tried reading them, and STRG and broken English are making it really difficult. I understand you need to modify some value in regedit, which I'd happily do if they would ever actually specify what the exact entry is to be edited, or even maybe provide a screenshot for what to do.

Nevermind, I figured it out.

Open regedit
Search for "IRON LORE"
Clicked on "Titan Quest Immortal Throne"
Right click, new string, name it "CD KEY"
Open that and paste your key in.

What a nightmare. Absolutely the worst experience simply trying to play a game I've ever had.

Or you can just play the anniversary edition and not worry about cd keys.

Unless you specifically need zhis version for some reason.

Ever wonder if not everybody owns the anniversary edition? Sounds crazy, I know.

It kinda is crazy. They were giving it away to people who owned the original and tq. How come you didnt get it?

And if you got it after the promotion already ended, why did you opt for this version?

I mean, they're both ok. It's just that AE is a bit better.

jeeezus necrothread required to say OP easy way in future is to unsub threads if you dislike the response ty for the update though as it is hard to find this fix outside all the qq threads

I like to follow my threads to see if they helped anyone in the same situation, and if not, maybe I can offer more help to them. So when people mindlessly reply with unrelated words, of course I'm going to say something.

Solution... ha ha ha ha... how about this the producers of the product belly up to the bar and solve the problem that we don't have to do a whole bunch of geirations to play the Da** thing! Actually, have it work by pressing play... I know that's a foreign concept and all but.... I feel sorry for steam who is caught in the middle of this steaming (no pun intended) pile of sh**.

thanks for the solution. I myself prefer to play the immortal throne version.
anniversary changes things in a way that i'm simply not a fan of it.

This is yet another one of the issues getting this game on steam

When I first got it I could not play it cause steam sucks.

I had the original TQ they failed to state you needed the anniversary edition and still it would not run correctly.

The amount of issues this DLC had they removed it for more than what they are saying
cause they are embarrassed to point out that the game fails to recognize which TQ you actually have on steam

I have the original jewel case with the CD I play and download DLCs off from steam and the game works fine.

This game is no longer supported on here it was removed

haha damn, this discussion was created almost half a decade ago.

I think I ended up just emulating the Switch version lol, I guess that's another possible solution.
