Requesting Online Functionality on Linux
I wanted to throw my hat in the ring and request EAC to be updated to work on Linux as well. This game runs at a smooth 60FPS on Linux for me (Linux Mint) but the framerate is all over the place on windows 10 & 11 for the same PC I'm using. It's to the point where it's unplayable on Windows for me personally, and the best feature I could see is Linux support added.

I have a similar problem, the game refuses to make good use of my CPU with the default renderer and I get stuck with framerate salad that drops to the 20s in some maps. When I switch to DXVK everything works fine and I get a locked 60 fps with vsync on.

I have very little hope that they'd add native Vulkan or Linux support this late in the game's life though.

BTW what kind of PC specs do you have? We might have a component in common that the game just doesn't work well with.

Must be the old DDR3 memory or something, not sure. I could've swore with my previous GTX 1660 Ti that XV2 ran at a steady 60fps on Windows though, so it could also just be AMD not liking XV2 on Windows too.

I've been waiting for months for an update on EAC, but unfortunately, there hasn't been any progress, which is quite disappointing. I sent an email regarding the issue, but the response shifted the focus to my modem, which doesn't seem to be the problem, as I used to play the game normally when I was using Windows. For example, FighterZ runs perfectly fine online on Linux with EAC, so I'm not sure why we're encountering this issue. I regularly play online co-op and versus with friends, and without online functionality, the game feels like a wasted investment. I would appreciate any assistance or clarification on how to resolve this.

It looks like all they need to do is change a few flags on the EAC website and copy-paste the Linux library to the game depot. It seems kind of bizarre that they wouldn't do that for a game they still release new content for.

What's crazy is Dragon Ball the breakers actually works on Linux. They recently patched the EAC so steam deck and Ubuntu and other Linux systems running proton will run EAC just fine

Dragon Ball FighterZ works perfectly online on Linux, and Xenoverse 1 also runs flawlessly online (all EAC). There are even instructions available to make that happen. However, we received an email about internet issues when send a ticket to bandai. I sincerely hope this gets resolved because Xenoverse 2 is one of my favorite games. With new DLCs and updates, it doesn't make sense for this problem to persist. If there's anything we can do to bring this to the developers' attention, I'm happy to help.

Aaaaarrrrrrre ya sure? 'Cause, I mean, last I checked, servers were down, and when they weren't, they were worse than 2 currently is.

Even 2 worked online for a long while, did the bubble raid things when they were first added before an update removed EAC compatibility and they never added it back
