Save editor/mods

So, i don't really know what to do, been playing this with a friend and wanted to edit save, same for him

The save edit was updated to 1.20, however every change i do just don't apply to the game, its like there's a backup the game always load, no matter what i do lol

Anyone having the same problem?

Of course i did lol. The game just overwrites the new save with the original one, even if i delete the whole save, it still reloads the original

Nice username. There were two updates to the save editor and I can confirm that the changes I made on my save are working right now. You might need to try redownloading the Save Editor again just in case you got the earlier updated version.

By the way, you could try disabling the Steam Cloud saves for XV2, then editing the save file.

Try doing your editing with steam closed. Then start it. You might get a message asking you to verify which save you want to keep as you start the game. The one in the cloud or the local one

I was going to add some information but it seems that you have figured it out. Im glad, i know it sucks when you have problems that you cant figure out. Though you make get some aholes trying to tell you something but we are talking about steam after all, but dont let them worry you. There are plenty of players who are willing to help you out the best we can, while we dont know everything i personally will try to help those i can out based on my own experiences so if you need anything feel free to ask.

I also mod with this game so there maybe some stuff i cant help you with simply because i cant play online with mods unless you mod yourself. Still im glad that you are able to do what you need to do.

I’m having a similar problem trying to edit my save. Did you reinstall then edit the save before trying to run the game?

It worked fine for me, except I wasn't able to get that new Gotenks supersoul, does anyone with it know its ID so I can try to manually add it?

how do you undo the stuff you did on save editor i cant use my CAC because of this

There's a backup folder inside the SaveEditor folder. Rename the file you want back to DBXV2 . sav (no spaces) and put that in your Steam saves folder for the game.
