Why is Xenoverse pretty dead on the PC?

I'm not sure why console is more active than PC. I just want to hear other people's thoughts on it.

PC always had a lower player count than consoles. There's also a number of reasons why players stay away from the game.

And also the mod patcher was updated, so you'll be seeing less people online at least until the next DLC is released.

That + most players can't even play the game due to multi lobby not working properly for them like me ... which is why I very rarely show up online.

The one everyone is kind of dodging is the fact that cheating is INCREDIBLY easy on any game that exists on PC compared to consoles. Consoles are starting to get easier as they become more like PCs with branded logos on them, but PC is, for now, much more simple to cheat on.

When there are more cheaters, there are less people willing to put the time in to play in that environment.

This is one factor of many, I am sure. But it's not an insignificant one.

Just imagine how many natural football players would bother to compete or even stay natural if they had to go up against steroided, jacked players as a matter of course. Alternatively, your natural players get roided up too and now no one is having fun and people start dying. The sport would die too.

Man this game has really good potential for multiplayer if only Bandai gets its ♥♥♥♥ together and actually fixes the netcode. I really wanna have a long ranked match session but hardly anyone goes for the ranked match.

OMG Cheaters!!!!!

Cheating on pc amounts to people boosting tournaments and having perfect qq bangs. Get over it ffs. I was here in the days of raid boss moves and infinite UI dodge. Now THAT sh*t was bad. A perfect qq bang means absolutely nothing in the grand scheme of things specially now that we have 6* qq bangs

They won’t let some pc/ handheld players play online multiplayer pvp with other folks. Word is it’s because they don’t want cheaters playing it but there’s cheaters in every game…

A lot of these replies seem to be pretty accurate. I myself play the game a lot, but am barred from online play due to EAC. I also use mods, but even on vanilla the online doesn't work for me. I would say the three biggest answers would be the cheaters who can easily bypass EAC protections, followed by people like playing modded Xenoverse 2 offline, then people like me who play on Linux/Steam Deck who simply cannot play online at all.

Consoles are not getting like PCs, they are ra restricted useless platform, who are nothing like the open platform that is PC

We've had this conversation already. You tried to spin it then and you're trying to spin it now. Yes, there are less players because of cheating in the past. The fact remains that the only cheating you can do these days amounts to perfect qq bangs, since the things people used to use to cheat have been patched out of online. Paint it as you will but in the current scheme of things, perfect QQ bangs are an irrelevant advantage.

There are less cheaters because the player count is lower, but if the player count was higher the cheating wouldn't be more than it is rn.
