Is it worth to buy just the base game?

The game + DLCs are kinda expensive where i live and i can't currently buy everything at once even with the current discount, so i wanted to see if it was worth to buy the base game and play through it for some time before i maybe decide to buy the dlc if they are on some nice discount.

The game is fine without the DLC, I just bought most of it, (it is half of right now for me) but I had played through the game a few times before that.

I would start by buying the DLC that has characters you like before anything else or even just moves you like. SSG Vegeta has a move called Prominence Flash that I really like for example.

Yeah i kinda was going to do that, i just don't want to feel left out of the more interesting multiplayer content for not having certain DLC, like the raids and stuff, but as long as i don't get cucked out of that i'm fine with having just the base game for now.

Besides, i believe my friend will get the game as well so i'll have someone to be mad alongside me in case it ends up not being worth it, but the thing is, i can't spend much money right now and i have no idea if there will be any nice discount for the DLCs anytime soon after the new year's sale is done, knowing bamco there will be some more dlc and i'm currently not on a salary job to buy every good dlc, i also don't want to end up buying this game just for a xenoverse 3 to release and this game ending up becoming obsolete.

I bought it before christmas and so far have enjoyed just the base game (completed the main story) and i still have quite a few PQ's to complete and things to unlock, alot more in the base game than I was expecting.

Ill probably get the Extra DLC 2(?) with the alternate history story with changing dialogue dependant on who you bring with you and who you side with just for some extra story... although its one of the DLC's every one recommends as one of the best.

But yeah its worth it for the price it is on sale.

Well this game is still popular after 6 years and still getting dlc, even from the latest movie, I'm don't think XV3 is much of a priority for Bamco yet. If you wanna go by leaks XV3 is coming out in 2024.

Anyway the next largest sale would be summer if not spring.
