Release Date and Development Roles:

-DBXV2 is coming October 25th on X1 and PS4 | October 28th on PC/Steam.
-Dimps is the Developer of DBXV2 while Bandai Namco is the Publisher.
-QLOC is in charge of porting DBXV2 to PC.

Pre-Order/Day One content, Deluxe Edition and Super:

-DBXV2 will have pre-order exclusive content (Black Goku DLC Playable character from Super as well as the famous Tao Pai Pai for use as a vehicle).
-DBXV2 will have a deluxe edition which includes the game, early access to playable character Future Trunks, as well as the season pass.
-DBXV2 will have a collector's edition which includes the game, a Son Goku Super Master Stars Piece statue, exclusive box design with metal Shenron, and a Time Patroller's Guide.
-DIMPS was unable to provide Super content in the base game due to development on DBXV2 beginning before Super aired in Japan.

-DIMPS hopes to provide more Super content post-launch via DLC in the season pass.
-Super Saiyan Rose will not be an available transformation for Black Goku at launch. Dimps is looking at potentially adding the transformation post-release via paid DLC.
-Future Trunks from Super is in the base game. He is a day one access for deluxe edition owners. All standard edition owners will have to unlock him through the course of playing the game.
-Hit is confirmed to be a playable character in the base game.

Post-release Plans:

-Bandai Namco will be offering FREE updates long after the game's 2016 release. They hope to support the game for at least a year after its release.
-The season pass will include four separate content packs, consisting of playable characters, episodes and quests, masters and master quests, skills, costumes, and accessories.
-Cabba/SSJ Cabba and Final Form Frost are confirmed as DLC Pack 1 characters.

Setting and Story:

-The new social hub is Conton City and it is 7x the size of Toki Toki City.
-Players can fly in the city now or use a capsule corp hoverpad if they have not unlocked flying yet.
-The new social hub can support up to 300 players at once, although they may not all be visible.
-The new social hub will have provide far more content and activities than its predecessor.

-The Time Patroller (CaC) from DBXV1 will apparently play some part in the new story.
-DBXV2 takes place two years (Age 852) after the events of DBXV1.
-The music in Conton City can be changed.
-Your Time Patroller from DBXV1 cannot be used in DBXV2.

Technical Improvements:

-The game will have much better performance and more detailed environments due to dropping last gen consoles.

Transformations:

-There will be a total of nine transformations in DBXV2: Super Saiyan, Flying Nimbus + Power Pole, Great Namek, Golden Form, Kid Buu, Kaioken, Potential Unleashed, Super Vegeta, Future Super Saiyan.
-Super Saiyan (based on Goku) allows one to go from SSJ1, SSJ2, and SSJ3 providing a damage boost.
-Flying Nimbus does not require ki, but the transformation can be lost if the human takes multiple hits.
-Great Namek (Become Giant) requires three ki bars to transform and changes your skill set. You can only maintain the transformation based on how much stamina you have.

-Golden Form (Become Golden) provides a speed boost and your ki blast is enhanced to Frieza's iconic death beam.
-Kid Buu (Purification) turns you into Kid Buu and you receive his attacks and super attacks. The transformation is temporary.
-Kaioken power up is based on how many ki bars the user has and lasts for as long as the user has stamina.
-Potential Unleashed allows the user to charge ki quicker than other transformations and receives a ki boost and a power boost.

-Super Vegeta provides stronger ki blasts than normal super saiyan but is limited to SSJ1 and SSJ2.
-Future Super Saiyan (based on Future Trunks) recovers ki faster than any other super saiyan types and is limited to SSJ1.
-Transformations are now referred to as "Awoken Skills" or "Awakened Powers" and have been reworked to be a separate slot from Ultimate attacks
-You will be able to transform into a Super Saiyan when you have 3 ki bars, Super Saiyan 2 when you have 4 ki bars, and Super Saiyan 3 you have 5 ki bars.

-Due to balancing considerations, saiyan CaCs cannot go beyond the SSJ3 transformation.
-A saiyan's hair will not change shape when he/she goes SSJ1 or SSJ2.
-Saiyan transformations (Super Saiyan, Super Vegeta, Future Super Saiyan) are now permanent and do not decrease ki over time.
-Saiyans no longer have infinite ki, preventing them from spamming ki supers or ultimate attacks while transformed.

-Super Saiyan has a reduced ki regeneration via melee the higher you transform. At Super Saiyan 3, you do not regenerate ki passively via melee.
-Kaioken no longer allows players to spam Z-vanish, as it now consumes stamina.

Character Roster:

-There are around 75 known playable characters in DBXV2 with familiar faces as well as new ones.

Gameplay Improvements:

-Character customization returning with more choices.
-More maps for local multiplayer.
-The game will have a "dynamic camera" which will be able to better track movement in combat.
-Ki blasts in fights will now curve in the air as they fly towards opponents.

-Dashing has been improved with the introduction of Homing Dash and Aura Burst Dash.
-Homing Dash closes in on opponents more quickly.
-Aura Burst Dash enables the user to dodge attacks while homing in on an enemy.
-There will be a training school and training mode in DBXV2.

-The race chosen for the player's character will determine what locations you'll be able to visit (Namekians can access secret places on Namek that other races can't).
-There is also race-specific rewards this time around.
-RNG has been changed so that players are able to obtain items and costumes they want easier.
-There is a new system called Stamina Break which allows you to take your opponent's stamina.

-There won't be any new races to choose from.
-There will be side quests to participate in and a teleportation device in Conton City to see more of the DBZ world.
-Z Souls have been renamed to Super Souls to better correlate with the new anime.
-Battles are much faster paced than DBXV1.

-There will be custom ki blasts players can choose from and each original character from the anime/manga will have their own signature ki blasts.
-Once one completes the main story there will be special ways players can alter the history of Dragon Ball.
-Players will not be able to play as giant characters (not including Great Namek transformation).

-Destruction will not be improved besides some rock/debris animated around ki charging and blasts.
-The original Dragon Ball will not be covered in DBXV2.
-Bandai/DIMPS will be creating a survey for feedback via http://www.dragonball-videogames.com/us/
-There are plenty of new skills to learn as well as new costumes to obtain.

-Single player features twice the number of quests from DBXV1, PQs from DBXV1, and a new system for rare item drops, which contains costumes and accessories.
-The time limit can be removed from Online VS mode.
-DBXV2 has a new "limitations" feature that puts all players on an even playing field regardless of gear and attribute distribution via leveling.
-You can now provide feedback at: https://www.dragonball-videogames.com/en/survey-give-us-your-feedbacks-for-dragon-ball-xenoverse-2/

Crafting, Appearance Tab and Currency:

-Players will be able to alter, enhance, and customize the stats of their costumes using a "QQ Bang."
-A QQ Bang is a separate slot in your equipment and will override all of the stats in your costume.
-QQ Bangs are vastly superior to their counterparts and can be further enhanced using rare materials.
-Mixing rare materials with costumes could lead to a crafting failure in which the stats of the QQ Bang will be worse.

-Along with the return of Zeni, DBXV2 will introduce a brand new currency called TP (Time Patrol) medals.

Large Time Rifts:

-Guru's House: Defend Guru's home from external threats. Provide residents in the fields with items and receive other items in return as thanks. Namekians receive extra items.
-Majin Buu's House: Collect food to grow Majin Buu's family. The family can grow up to six members unless you are a Majin in which case it grows to ten. Give food to the children and receive different rewards based on their color.
-Frieza's Spaceship: Enlist in the Frieza Force and choose sides as you move up the ranks. Which commander you decide to serve determines future quests. Frieza Race receives additional quests.
-Hercule's House: You can become Great Saiyaman's pupil and fight mighty villains by his side or earn zeni by working as Hercule's bodyguard. Humans receive more zeni.

-Capsule Corporation: You can test your skills with Vegeta and create QQ Bangs. Testing yourself with Vegeta will give you a number of quests where you battle with Vegeta. Saiyans receive additional quests.
-In order to achieve your race-specific transformations, you must complete the Large Time Rift specifically for your race.

Expert Mission Mode:

-DBXV2 will feature an Expert Mission mode in which up to six players can team up against one powerful opponent.
-Expert Mission mode has two unique features: Brainwashing and Gigantic Ki Blasts
-Players who are brainwashed will have to fight a doppleganger of themselves while those who are not may have to fight the brainwashed player.
-Gigantic ki blasts must be repelled in order to avoid massive damage to the entire party. Players can alternate who holds the gigantic ki blasts while the rest fire ki blasts to force the gigantic ki blast back at the boss.

Importing from DBXV1 to DBXV2:

-You will be able to import some aspects of your DBXV1 character, who will be regarded as a hero.
-If you want to import a different character from DBXV1 into DBXV2, you will need to delete your DBXV2 save file in order to do so.
-You can only transfer the skills and costume that are currently equipped to your time patroller (upper body, lower body, hands, feet, 4x super attacks, 2x ultimate attacks, 1x evasive skill).
-Your Time Patroller's name, voice, and certain skills cannot be carried over and some costumes and skills will look or behave differently.

-No DBXV1 transformations will transfer and none of Bardock's skills or Whis' skills will transfer either (they will be replaced with zeni or TP medals).
-Any items or skills replaced with zeni or TP medals will be provided after progressing through the Time Patrol Quests up to a certain episode.
-Platforms that are automatically importing DBXV1 (PC, X1, PS4) will be able to import their DBXV1 CaC's appearance.

Closed and Open Beta:

-PS4 owners who pre-ordered the digital edition of DBXV2 will get exclusive closed beta access. All PS4 owners, regardless of the version they purchased, will have access to open beta. X1 and PC will not have an open beta.

Miscellaneous:

-DJ Steve Aoki will remix famous musical tracks such as "Cha-La Head-Cha-La" and "We Gotta Power."
-DJ Steve Aoki will appear as a non-playable-character that players can interact with in Conton City.
-Akira Toriyama is a creative advisor on DBXV2, but he does not have an active role in terms of development beyond providing occasional feedback.
-DBXV3 will have a much longer development cycle than DBXV2 as Bandai wants players to play DBXV2 for a very long time.

Well let us see where it goes from here. Also you should put next to the image about mentor combo as *unconfirmed* as well.

I realize someone jacked my thread. The problem is he isn't even bothering to update it with new information. Seeing as he isn't serious about keeping my own thread up to date, I just decided to create a new one here. This isn't about trying to feel important, but having a useful tool to stay up to date on DBXV2.

I found your original thread very handy, it also how I learned that DBXV2's store/community page(s) were up. I'm just saying let's see how it goes from here because of the mods and such, also another idea is link your old thread in the beginning message just encase mods look at both threads.

So you won't update the other one anymore, or will you keep updating both?

Fair enough. I'll do that.

I'll update both since it's not a hassle. I'll have a link to the original here and vice versa in the DBXV1 forum.

Ok. I'll still follow both anyway, but just thought I'd ask. (Also, the quote in your post above the one I quoted is meessed up, maybe you should edit it to be proper, just saying. XD)

Thanks. I linked each thread on both pages for easy traversal back and forth. I reported the other guy's thread for plagiarism considering he didn't provide credit and isn't even updating my thread. We'll see if the moderators do anything.
At least it wasn't messed up half as bad as I have seen where you can't tell who said what.

Btw credits to 「死の火」 Yamino Takamaru for that new find of information. Hopefully someone will be able to translate most of that trailer into English at some point. The earthling and namekian awakened power reveals was a very nice find. The latter makes sense. The former is just hilarious.

I still would of preferred something like Master Roshi's full power, minus the shirt pipping off for obvious reasons.

I agree. At least Roshi's technique is somewhat like a transformation. Although, arguably it would have looked strange for a female bulking up to a ridiculous level, which is why DIMPS may have avoided going that direction.

In any event, Goku isn't even human. Also, humans can fly... So I'm not sure what benefits Goku's flying nimbus and his power pole would give against a Super Namek, a SSJ3, Kid Buu, or Golden Frieza. Not to mention, it doesn't make a lot of sense if every human gets a power pole and flying nimbus. They were special gifts to Goku that he has kept in his family.

The power pole is more strange because it was a one of a kind item to the extent of my knowledge where Nimbus was not as unique remembering when kid Goku thought Nimbus was dead till the villagers told him to call it.

I haven't watched the original Dragon Ball in years, but my understanding is that both items are one of a kind. Maybe there are other flying nimbuses out there somewhere, but I remember only Goku having it.

I knew DIMPS was going to struggle to come up with something compelling for humans. I'm just not sure this was the right direction to go as you can barely even call this an "awakened power." Oh well, people complained about only saiyans getting transformations in DBXV1. This is DIMPS's solution to that problem.

Power pole is one of a kind to my knowledge, but Nimbus is not. Nimbus is just rare, I looked at the manga again and the old man in the village after Goku fights Muscle Tower says "When I was a kid, there were lots of 'em" so Nimbus is just very rare not one of a kind.
