My game broken
So, when I try to load the game up, my screen is just a black screen. There's still sound, but nothing else. I have tried verifying game files, uninstalling and reinstalling, and even deleting the folders and then reinstalling. Every time I try booting it up, there's still a black screen with sound playing. IDK what to do.

You seem to be missing some important install files for your system.

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/cpp/windows/latest-supported-vc-redist?view=msvc-170

Download and install all of the x64 files for your system, then reboot your PC

I can't download ARM64, if that's what you mean, and downloading all the X64 did nothing

I had the same problem. You have to set your framerate to 60Hz

I made a discussion talking about this. there was an unannounced update within the 1.18 update that has made a few changes. basically adding oolong and the BS dragon ball breakers to the game.

IF you have a black screen or white screen after character select press the pause button. if you dont get anything back then its a mod that is conflicting with the game.

An even though it was a small update within 1.18. The mod patcher is not updated. So issues are bound to be there.

I just bought the game and installed it i doubt a mod is causing the crashes for me. More likely EAC is broken AGAIN. EAC games dont like my computer since i dont allow it to have access to my computer files and my AV is set to Quarantine it the moment it sees it activate. I dont care about online BS the fact EAC is deeply tied to the game is a red flag for a single player game.

But here is the thing. I was playing the game with the revamp mod. Which added oolong to the game. But when that stupid and a waste of money breakers is being promoted within xenoverse 2 bandai added oolong to the game to help promote it. So my game was half broken where when i loaded up any character i got a white screen but everything was running behind it because the game was trying to load the cutscene for the 1.18,01 update.

When the revamp team removed oolong from there mod now my game runs and loads fine. So if the author was using mods specifically the revamp mod then the game would be some what broken.

If someone is having trouble with a none modded version of the game then it has something to do with the game not fully updating. But if someone is using mods then the suspect or suspects have to be the eternity patcher or a mod being used.

I have the same problem, when I change my skills, the game crashes, this happens all the time, I can't change the character's powers

Modded or unmodded

None modded is simple as reverifing your files to get any files your missing.

Modded you will have to clear all your mods verify your files are reinstall your mods one at a time. Do not use replacer mods unless you know what your doing.
