Modded Save Import to Xenoverse 2?
Does anyone have a guess as to whether a modded save of Xenoverse 1 will be able to import to Xenoverse 2? I haven't found any news on the matter.

Amodified save file from the original Xenoverse 1 game should suffice in theory. Depending on certain parameters (character skills, Steam ID etc) the save might not be recognized by Xenoverse 2, hell I wouldn't be surprised if a modded save gets flagged and gets VAC Banned if certain variables are not within range.

Hmmm yeah that would make sense. I used some mods to change clothing models, modded some characters to have a different look to them. And used a save editor to unlock the rest of the moves I got tired of working for because RNGesus hates me. I never made a backup save so I hope I don't have to start all over.

dont see why it wouldnt work as it doesnt move over anything that u changed with mods anyways

seeing as how the character's looks are all that's transferred. you should be fine. just don't expect to see your modded version and instead see the appearance it would have otherwise.

As long as the properties of the save file haven't been changed in such a way that DBXV2 is unable to recognize it, you should be fine.

Huh alright then. All this have given me some solace, I can stop worrying that I would have to settle for the default Patroller hero they offer in Xeno 2. Thanks everyone for the speedy replies! Appreciate it!

On Xenoverse it would not tell you that you are VAC Banned, You would know that you are VAC banned if A you cannot enter ANY multiplayer rooms or No one can join YOUR multi player rooms. It would however tell you if someone else is VAC Banned. If you try to join a player's room who is Vac Banned it will kick you out and you will get this message:

I know about that, it's a bug. I received the same message before about my friends being kicked out with VAC, but they were not VAC banned. VAC was never added, and it never will be. Even to this day, there's no VAC ban on their profile and I was able to play with my friend after a retry.

You will know when VAC is enable in a game by looking at the store page. If you see VAC secured or whatever, then it's protected with VAC. Xenoverse 2 don't have that information on there, so it's not protected with VAC. I even managed to play with a friend who already had a VAC displayed on their profile before playing this game, we were playing together just fine.

Oh, and I also played with a friend 4 months ago who was actually using Cheat Engine. He's not even banned today.

A client side mod shoouldnt cause a problem, a server side mod will cause an issue.
look at it this way. your armor mod might be ssj4 fur, but everyone else sees tights.
you use hgraphics, you see oily characters, everyone else sees regular people.
these wont carry over to xv2 as they dont affect your actual save data.

on the flip side, you use that one punch Zsoul. it DOES cause an effect on the server and may be caught in a hack detection so that should be reverted. you use that "no racism" mod "and the "frieza race transformation mod" those also affect the server in ways others can see so that too is risky. mods like these i recommend removing and unslotting before transferring.

hpoe i helped a little.

Feel free to hack and cheat in any game without store page saying "VAC" protected, you just can't get banned

It shouldn't be a problem. I did the same thing with the Save Editor because grinding in Xeno1 was ♥♥♥♥. I was able to import my character just fine.
Keep in mind that you're not importing your whole save file, you're importing ONE character with whatever they had equipped except transformations and such.
