"game data may be corrupted"
I have tired almost everything to fix this but nothing is working.

I don't have any mods and I have done several fresh installs. I am at a loss.

Go to Xenoversemods.com and get the Lazybones save editor load your save then save it and see if that works.

Unfortunately this doesn't seem to have fixed it. Hmmm...

Its because its not a fix, its a test to see if the save will load or not. Since it doesnt it means that your save file itself has been corrupted. The only way to fix this problem is to start over, then once in awhile make a back up copy of your DBXv2 save file that way if it becomes corrupted again you can easily replace the file in the folder with the back up, just make sure you copy the back up instead of using the actual file as a replacement. That way if it happens again you wont have wasted a back up and only used a copy of said back up.

Also, if you have used the save editor before this point the save editor will make back ups of your save before its altered with the save editor.

But it is a fresh install and I haven't played the game yet. Though the method may become useful at a later date.

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\32569106\323470\remote\DBXV21" Follow this path or wherever you have the game installed but you still need to go to steam>userdata> etc etc. if you have a DBXv2 folder and a file inside than you have a save file.

Yeah even with that folder nonexistent the game still refuses to go past the press any button screen. It is very strange...
If you have Steam Cloud Activated, it may be trying to read the save data from the cloud which may be corrupted. If you want, I can try to recover your save data. Upload your save data to drop box and provide a link. I can download it and try to fix it for you.

The issue isn't the save file unless the file is automatically corrupted every time it is made? This is my first time playing the game.

My only suggestion would be to unsync the Steam Cloud, and delete the save from your hard drive and then try again.

Well you'd have to have a save file somewhere for the data to become corrupted like that because when that happens its a result of the save file itself being corrupted. I forgot to mention when you go to said file you also need to click the remote folder thats in it there it should show DBXv2 folder and the save should be inside.
