How is the saiyan tranformations?
I bought the XV1 but soon lost interest because transformation were so hard to maintain. The whole point of dragon ball for me is the saiyan tranformations. If I can't maintain it the whole fight there is no point in the game and I will just skip this and maybe buy the next one that comes in a year or two. Budokai tenkaichi 3 was perfect in that sense. You didn't lose the tranformation unless you really ♥♥♥♥ed up. I don't give a ♥♥♥♥ about balance or some ♥♥♥♥, I just wan't to be a super saiyan and ♥♥♥♥ things up. So have they fixed tranformation to be like budokai tenkaichi 3 or are they still more like XV1?

Super Saiyan (1-3), Super Vegeta (1-2), and Future Super Saiyan (1) are all permanent. You will never lose the transformation unless you deactivate it. The transformation has been entirely overhauled from the trash that it was in DBXV1.

You can learn all about transformations here: http://steamcommunity.com/app/454650/discussions/0/353915309335081267/

SSJ works as follows
1 Ki Bar=SSJ
3 ki bars= SSJ2
5 ki bars= SSJ3

Each form gives a substantial boost to raw damage, but reduces your ki regeneration from melee hits, at SSJ3 you will lose your regen from combat entirely. The form CAN actually drop if you run out of ki entirely, i've seen it happen to my friend a few times, but its pretty rare. However this data is based on Beta and anything could change between now and then.

Except none of the information you just listed is remotely accurate from my own observations of beta and the TGS build of DBXV2.

From those showings you needed 3 ki bars for SSJ, 4 ki bars for SSJ2, and 5 ki bars for SSJ3.

The only part you did deduce correctly is the fact that ki generation stops completely at SSJ3.

I have never seen the transform drop ever. Even with a player having no stamina or no ki, it never has dropped. It's possible you may have encountered a bug as the closed beta and open beta were far from fully polished.

My info comes directly from Rhymestyles channel when he went over SSJ those were the numbers, i've also heard several people state the same. Either way you have X ki bar you gain a different form, and your damage rises upward. I've seen it drop off and she was even surprised when it happend as we were in voice chat. She did get knocked down on the ground by the AI do to no stamina so that could trigger it. Which would make logical sense. Anyway until i see a for sure # of ki bars i'll stick by what i saw, until i know more.

Rhymestyle also had a video explaining each transformation and stated you needed 3 ki bars for SSJ1, 5 ki bars for SSJ2, and full ki bars for SSJ3... He's not really a credible source considering he doesn't even play a Saiyan.

Again, I've also seen footage of a person in SSJ3 with no stamina and he isn't knocked out of the form. I'll see if I can find that as well.

Footage proving losing all your stamina and even losing all of your ki does not deactivate SSJ3.

We aren't talking about DBXV1. We are talking about DBXV2. I stated it was permanent and you cannot lose the transformation under any circumstances. Azure stated I was wrong and I provided evidence that you can maintain SSJ3 when you have no stamina and no ki.
=P boy you have a nagging desire to be right huh? i'm just trying to relay information based on what i experienced in the beta. In the beta my friends saiyan clearly lost her SSJ form when she was knocked down by Ginyu during the PQ17 i was shocked because i to believed it couldn't be knocked off that it was a permanent form.

Regardless! This is beta it could have been a bug or a change to the game... we know this much

SSJ 1-3 are attained based on your ki bars
SSJ1-3 increase yoru damage modifier
SSJ 1-3 reduce your ki regen

We don't have any exact numbers right now so debating those points are kind of moot, generally speaking SSJ and Golden are the strongest racial transformations with out a doubt. But they aren't annoyingly gimmicky like they were in the first game.

Exact numbers aside, we know generally how the form works and until we get the game and get some exact numbers witht he live version i'm not sure anyone knows with 100% certainty the bumbers involved because i've heard people stating different things and i don't know which is true and false anymore. So i'm just gonna wait for live before making any claims.

How about the hair? I've seen the trailer video- and it seems as though if your hair is floppe down in normal mode and you go SSJ, your hair actually stands up (like how they do in the shows?). I was sorta bummed about that in the first game, where all they did was turn colors.

Also- fat buu can transform into kid buu? It's awesome to hear that you can stay in SSJ form.

*I Pre-ordered the game, Just wanna throw that out there before I reply* Yea, it kinda sucks how hair doesnt change. Dispite SSJ not being done correctly the community doesnt seem to care at all simply because the combat was improved a bit and the map is now different. Its stupid really. If a team of Modders can mod it on Xenoverse 1 then why can't a team or Pro Devs not include it in the game normally?

Actually your hair DOES change if you turn SSJ3. It looks like Goku's SSJ3 and it's pretty cool. In the beta you're limited to level 25 so unless you have the right gear or stats chances are you wouldn't be able to transform to SSJ3.

Because modders do something as a labor of love and have all the time in the world. A team of developers have this wonderful thing called a deadline. That deadline has to be met through coding, testing, additional content etc. Something so "Trivial" as people seem to call it really isn't. To mod all the hair styles to spike up, would take a rather long time and then they have to do it for females and males. It isn't easy, nor is it quick, but someone can probably mod it in the future.

BAAAAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAA!!!!

Are you serious? You mean they have the ability to "Take their time", I hope. Bouncing around between jobs, school, family, and a plethora of other 'diversions' to provide you content that these poor...slave-driven Designers, what with their expensive SDKs, Benefits plans, and Salaries, all of which are supposed to be aimed at making a passably complete product, are just too weary to put in.

Pfft. Gimme a break. It would probably have taken them little over a day to put in transforming hair styles for the lesser SSJ forms. Especially given the fact that it has been a high priority gripe since DBX1 was even announced and probably should have been a bullet on the Art team's "Do It" list.

Granted it's purely visual, but given the fact that about 85% of the show this game is based on is a bunch of meatheads gawking at two people change forms in front of each other, crapping their pants all the while, it's an important visual.

It should be in. It's not. Not because they "were too rushed", but because they were lazy and knew fans of DBX1 (Myself included) would buy this game anyway, with the fluffiest of sheep shelling out for the deluxe edition (Baaaaaaaaa).
