Save Editor Can't Access Characters 5+
Blah blah I use a save editor. idc what your opinion on that is.

I get this strange error whenever I try to edit characters in slots 5 and up. I can switch and edit between characters 1-4 just fine but I always get this error and cannot proceed if I attempt to switch to character 5, 6, 7, or 8.

It says something about some value needing to be non-negative and something something start index.

Anyone have any clue? I'm using the most recent save editor 0.7.4. It's not a huge deal, but if it can be fixed I'd prefer to be able to use them.

Dunno, but if this happens to everyone, could be a limitation of the save editor itself.

Yeah not a big deal. I wanted to skip finishing all the pqs for my last two characters but oh well guess I have to do it the old fashioned way. lol

There's a person in the city that sells you levels for Zeni and TP medals so you could just give yourself a bunch of those and manually level up those characters.

remember the save editer is still in beta so it has its limits and bugs. the last time I used it when I got in game krillin's friendship level shot up to max and I didn't even tick that box. If I was you I would report the bug to the mod author to see if they are aware of the bug. you could also try posting on xenoverse mod forums and asking for help there but that may take awhile for the best results try the discord I have found that their are some super helpful people on the discord I hope this has helped :Vegeta:

lol that's not my problem.

I wanted to use it to complete all the pqs so I don't have to go through all of them to unlock everything for my other characters.

Ah that's not a bad idea.

Again, not a huge deal, just wondering if anyone had any ideas. Thanks though.

If you have a completed save file as the base. There are tools that let you change race, genders, cac names and the imported xv1 cac without risking bugs from the save editor on xenoverse mods.

If you search YT you're likely to find one of those. But thats' only if you want to try that method.

Yeah the save editor I use is great. I unlocked everything 100% in the game the legit way on my first character, and for my other 3 I used it to finish pq's, etc.

It's just that on character 5 and 6 the save editor cannot edit them for some reason and I was wondering what was going on since it works 100% fine with zero bugs on characters 1-4.

I'm referring to a CE table that someone made which can be used to edit the imported xv1 character and can also be used to make them wear clothing that wasnt introduced until xv2.

Save editor doesnt have that capability but i'll post screenshots in a bit

I would like to see such a table as well. I like my XV1 hero, but she can get an update in cosmetics...

It exists but is a little tedious to do. You're best served by setting the appearance you want on a cac and then matching those exact features (the number ID's for all of the facial features and colors aren't listed anywhere so you need a cac to reference). Add me on discord or something and I'll do a tutorial on it if you want it

I've always had little bugs with the save editor and so have avoided it in favor of completing my save file normally. I had a lot of help with it and that was a 4 to 6 month thing + when extra pack 5 and 6 came out. A friend of mine uploaded his is why I brought up all the other stuff with cac customizing... If you wanted the 8 slots completion setting you'd just have to use aa table to getti all your cac's matched to your old save.

Anywho..
Best bet for the last two besides save editing is to just complete it enough to do pvp or some routine quests that you think you'll do on a regular basis

Sounds like you've got this way more figured out than I do.

Yeah I'm resigned to just finishing all the pqs on my last two cac's the good ol' fashioned way. lol

Thanks for all the interesting info though. Modding of all kinds is always so interesting to see how they work and don't work.

I see. So it's not a direct thing. I would have eagerly worked on something like this back when my days were a little simpler. But nowadays, too much stress to concentrate on anything remotely complicated.. I may take up your offer if I happen to find a day I'm not drowning in a pool of real life... >.<

Still, it's really nice to see how far modding has come.

You're editing numbers... basically. Every face type, nose type, hair type, and hair color, etc is assigned a number value. I've just been looking at my cacs for the numbers and copying them to the old hero under the equivalent features. Add me on discord (see my profile for the ID) and i will show you what it looks like. Its alot easier to understand this when you see it
