When I launch the game it doesn't even load. It just gives me an error. "Untrusted file xinput1_3.dll" What am I supposed to do? It never did that before!

If you removed all your mods and do not intend on using them again, just remove that xinput file from the game's Bin folder. If you still use mods and xvpatcher, just do as Gosen says and play directly through DBXV2.exe...

Have the same problem, just tried to launch the game after few days break :o

Just start the game from bin folder. Forget about START.exe. Forget about launching the game from Steam. Just run always from DBXV2.exe.

So I have another problem, hoping someone can help - turns out deleting this file stops me from using my Controller to play the game, means I have to use the Keyboard which I mean isn't terrible considering I at least get to have my game run mods, but was hoping someone here could tell me a way to let me keep using my controller.
I know I could try binding keys to the controller using the Steam Controller stuff, but I don't know the Keyboard controls enough to do that myself - if someone has a config made, or one they could recommend, I'd appreciate that too!

Well that shouldn't happen. That file is not related to your controller at all. Since I haven't had any problems using my controller, I am not too knowledgeable of how to make it work again. I can only tell you that none of the files you removed should impair your controller usage. Time for some diagnostics...

what if I want to use mods
Just found the way, go into your bin folder in your xenoverse 2 file and click on DBX.EXE from there.

Hi! I had the same issue with xinput1_3.dll and I tried running the DBXV2.exe file and it just stops working. Like Windows will have its Program Stopped Working message and im forced to close out. I do have a mod installed and I'm pretty sure i did it right. Pls halp

Naddy run the file check through Steam, sounds like you have file issues, if steam finds nothing and you still get the game refusing the run, might have to reinstall, and double check whatever mod you are using is ok..As long as you followed the instructions by Eternity for installing the patcher and installer, you shouldn't have any issues.

Running it from the bin doesn't seem to work anymore.

Have you tried to run as administrator?
