Attempting to MOD for first time, and I need some help!

I already own this game on the Switch, but I decided to buy it again (on sale) to mod it. I need some help with some questions that I have.

Do I need to purchase and own all DLC to use modded versions of those moves? I saw a video in which someone modded Raid Blast to last until the opponent is punched into the ground no matter the height. I want that, so would I need to buy the DLC with Raid Blast?

Are there any guides for modding Xenoverse 2 out there that you could recommend?

Is there any way to level up quicker with mods? I have spent over 300 hours on Xenoverse 2 getting 5 characters up to and above level 90. I do not wish to bother modding Xenoverse 2 if I have to do that again!

Finally, how would I get mods? Is there a website that has Xenoverse 2 mods or maybe modders upload mods onto Steam? Do I have to do all of my own modding to change my custom character's ki color and create custom QQ bands?

First, no, the abilities installed by mods r external, so doesn't have relation with the base game, u can use it without DLCs

Second, any guide could help, i mean, all the guides show the same content lmao, download xv2patcher, copy it, etc

third, i remember a way... But idk the name of the mod, oh and, u don't lose ur data if u install mods, but it's highly recommended to make a second installation with xv2patcher, and the first installation without mods, just in case lol. Copy the game folder and do all the steps in the copied folder, then start the game by START.exe (if u're on windows)

Look for a thread a made called how to downgrade to 1.16 for mods. it should be like page 5-6. yes you will need to downgrade back to 1.16 for modding as the current version is 1.17 and the XV2 patcher isnt updated to work with 1.17 yet.

Follow instructions carefully... also this will require you to start a brand new game entirely as saves dont transfer over. You dont need any DLCs for mods.

Keep in mind though when modding you normally dont have to downgrade, you only have to downgrade when the XV2 patcher isnt updated to work with the most recent DBXV2 update.

It might seem complicated to downgrade because of what it requires but just make sure you read everything and follow every instruction. Hopefully youll have no problems, when the downgrade is complete and everything is ready google XV2 patcher and mod installer and then it will tell you what you need to do with those. If you still need help ill try to do what i can but keep in mind if you run into problems i dunno how helpful ill be as ive had people ask me how to fix problems ive never encountered before and google isnt much help on some of the issues.
