DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE 2

DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE 2

Προβολή στατιστικών:
Online is absolute garbage.
At this point Xenoverse 2 shouldn't even be considered an "Online" game. It has no online.

Trying to find any rooms for any kind of battle(limited, non, ranked, normal, expert missions, normal missions, ect) results in nothing, ever. In all my time playing this game I've seen 2, at best, rooms which lasted for all of about two max battles. Even when the server seems ample with people, no room is EVER found. Making personal fight requests a must.

Then you go into personal fight request issues. Most of the people out for those fights have either the all 5 QQ bangs or the trademark all-9's damage cap which tell you they are modding.

So then you FINALLY get lucky and find a match with an actual player. Well, F you. Cause here comes the massive lag to ruin your day.

I bought this game day-1 and thought it was just a random issue to get fixed. Had I known it would remain trash I would never have bought this game on steam and have settled for a console instead. At least then I'd know connections would be reasonable.

If they at least fixed the server issue of not paring for random matches and that awful lag, but no. It remains trash.

Seriously, this game for PC should just be advertised as single-player only.

He's right. This game has garbage Online. Peer 2 Peer is like cancer !!! I used to play with a friend from the same country, we both have well over 200mbps on connection and we still lag like crazy from time to time.

I never said anything about the netcode, its very terrible. I havent had too many issues when playing with friends though
Make your own room then? There's a surprising number of people standing in front of the Online Fight counter, doing the exact same as you do. Or join one of the many Discord servers and ask people for a beatdown. Alternatively, be on the lookout for any friends. Had a nice fight or two? Add those people to your friend list.
P2P is a TERRIBLE choice for a fighting game, but it beats XV1's seemingly random connection. Then again, Dragon Ball always had a lot of teleporting to begin with, so maybe it's just a feature. /bitterlaugh
what else is new? oh that's right not a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ thing LMAO

Make friends? Get the hell out of here. I shouldn't have to wait in a room for four hours for one guy to show up then leave after getting beat. Nor should I have to wait for my friends to get online to play. I can play MKX and Dark Souls 3 just fine with whatever netcode they are using. Xenoverse 2 just chooses to use the worst connection method possible to make the experience a headache.

Make friends, get that crap out of here. It's idiotic excuses like this that keeps this BS connection problem running, cause ya'll trash refuse to complain being comfortable playing with the few people you know you have a chance against rather than risking it with other fighters who might just be better.

Toxic community.
It's almost like the online is dead because it didn't work for the first six months, and then the second the community actually started growing when the netcode was patched to a playable state they turned around and added anti-mod ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that bans you for having any mods, while simultaneously not preventing cheating in the slightest. So now you get cheater-infested online with no mods, so nobody cares to play anymore.

Easy there pal. I wasn't insulting you for your pitiful opinion on the game either. "Not having to wait for my friend to get online", wow. So you expect them to be online 24/7 in games like MKX and Dark Souls 3? Interesting. And I dunno where you live, but I for one don't have to wait four hours so someone joins my room.
I have a handful or two of friends in XV2 that beat my arse for sure. Doesn't keep me from befriending them, I like a challenge. On the contrary, random challengers usually suffice for a warm-up at best, but the occasional good person is there - and those are the people I befriend, not someone that clearly has no chance (and fun) fighting me. If a person has good connection AND is a good fight / can beat me and gives me a chance to become better? Boom, got someone I can have fun with.

If you're not interested in an available solution to your complaint... then maybe this discussion isn't for you. Most people don't disagree with your basic issues, but they found solutions to deal with the wait times and associating with people who have stable connections in order to deal with the circumstances in the now.

Your claim is also blatantly false. A good chunk of modders did not cheat. But a good chunk of cheaters used modded skills to get one hit kills and wins. You may not consider EAC's ban on mods fair, but the same ban also prevents abuse of mods by cheaters to boost their stats in pvp matches. And with modded skills topping the favorite cheat troll methods, those were the first forms of cheats to get nixed

What solution?

"Sit around a room for X hours and wait for someone to maybe show up"
"Wait for your friends to show up"

That's not a solution to anything. The fact is, the game has garbage online connection and rather than people put that out there for devs to notice is a problem they seem content with either waiting or just playing with the same exact people over and over and over again.

It's an ONLINE pvp game, it should focus on ONLINE pvp. Instead we have a splitscreen game without the splitscreen function. Since you can't very well just go out looking for randoms.

Sure, I can get about 3 friends online at a time. How many does it take for 3v3? oh right, 6. How about Expert missions? Oh yeah, still not enough. I can 1v1 a friend all day, but it only drags on for so long when you know the person well enough. So I want to go out and find new people. Where are they though? That's right, not around because the netcode is aweful.

The game should let me just join random battles and not have to make friends desperately with every stable connection I can find just for the sake of milking that one stable fight. It should all be relatively stable. Other games do it, but not this one. Because everyone is content with playing the same guy over and over again.

THAT is the problem.

Youre raising an issue of what the game should be vs what it is right now. If you have little faith that the issues will be patched your only choices are to stop playing, or find a solution that lets you make the most out of the present conditions. Thats all i am pointing out.

I add people i can work with, and accept challenges in the lobby typically. It holds me over while the issue gets raised with the developers who ultimately are the ones responsible for making sure the game works and encourages more people to be on.

Even at the games peak late last year i recall PQ rooms and pvp lobbies were pretty thin. But this wasnt just a connection or netcode issue. It was also an issue with rampant cheaters, and people abusing -at the time- bugged skill sets...
